Jamal Adams had 2 pick 6's in the latest scrimmage. Good news is they threw a couple of TDs to a tiger.

In the defense of the Tiger QBs, Jamal Adams is really good.

Who is Mc favoring at this time? Grier?

Is it true that Tabor is in the doghouse? If so, who looks like his likely replacement until he leaves the doghouse?

Yeah, it'll be Grier. As for Tabor, I don't think he's in the doghouse at all. He's been getting reps just like everybody else, just not starting. JC Jackson(who some say was the best CB on the roster before he got hurt last year) is the other starter opposite Vern right now.

Arkansas fans: How's the D-line looking?

Hjalte Forholdt appears to be the real deal. 18 year old freshman from Denmark, but the kid is a beast. Played at IMG his last semester of HS.

He looks like a SEC Jr. D-lineman already. Google what little there is on YouTube. He'll hopefully redshirt, but looks like he might play as a frosh.

Bhijon Jackson has really stepped up and smells the playing time.

Wise is ready.

It can't be easy to replace Spaight, Philon and Flowers, but it doesn't look like total droppoff at all.

Fournette might gain 12 yards next year :).

How is Lawson looking after the injury? Any noticeable effect?

Is Alabama's QB depth:
1) Cokesiah
2) Cornwell
3) ??? (this seemed like the spot for Bateman but maybe he is already feeling the pressure from Barnett or something; who knows?)

Most expected (if you exclude Bateman) for it to go Coker -> Cornwell -> Morris -> Barnett (RS)

But Morris is above Cornwell, right now. That said, they're lined up in order of seniority, soooooo, yeah. Anyone's job, I guess.

Bateman was a stud coming out of HS. Any reason why he hasn't firmly secured the #2 spot?

After Cokesiah, who do you expect to compete? Who is the QB of the future after Cokesiah's reign in Tuscaloosa?

All accounts have been that he has looked fine. Knee hasn't been any trouble. They have purposefully limited him out of precaution, though, so hard to give a full evaluation.

LSU fans: Anything new on the qb situation?

Nobody really knows except who gets to watch full practices. Miles goes out of his way to make sure that he doesn't give hardly any legit info. My guess is that both have improved a little bit but nothing earth shattering to this point.

I'm guessing Bateman's high school days in Utah led to him being overrated. He did well at camps, but that doesn't mean crap, obviously.

For the future, the prediction since last season has been Cornwell. People weren't mentioning Bateman in the qb race during last season, so I guess this wasn't unexpected for some.

Blake Barnett seems to have really high potential. He's also supposedly a bit of a douchebag. But our most successful qbs lately have had a at least a touch of douche, so that might bode well for him.

We talkin' 'bout practice? SECr edition

chatt,

Does Bama have a QB atop the depth chart going into Spring Game?

As far as out QB, everyboyd wants it to be Harris, but Jennings looks much improved so far (albeit not in game conditions yet), but leadership and playbook-wise....

I'm glad to hear he's made a recovery. No one should ever have their career ended by a game of naked twister.

Right now it's Coker. Word from the scrimmage that is happening today is that he has looked really good. Word from the scrimmage last August made him sound pitifully bad, so it's not like the reports are typical sunshine pumper crap. Of course, it's all secondhand info, so any leaks are a big TIFWIW.

I'd rather see one of the young kids step up and take the position away from Coker. I'm not a fan of having four qbs in four years, but that is just me.

It would be Coker right now. Supposedly he's improved a good bit, according to the always reliable news source, Twitter. But the only person most Bama fans expect to push him is Cornwell. Bateman well transfer soon, and most expected Alex Morris would have already transferred by now.

Well, you had some serious consistency at the position before these two or three seasons of one- or two-year starters.

2017: Cornwell?
2016: Cornwell?
2015: Cokesiah
2014: Sims
2013: McCarron
2012: McCarron
2011: McCarron
2010: McElroy
2009: McElroy
2008: Wilson
2007: Wilson
2006: Wilson

It wouldn't surprise me if Bateman or Morris transferred to Florida if allowed. They both have worked with Coach Mac.

So excited to see J.C. Collins called him the best athlete he's ever coached iirc. Gonna be a good one.
