Yes, because his commit cancels out y'all mooning the NCAA and daring them to drop the hammer on you.
One of two things happens from this.
One. You get bent over and the NCAA is not gentle.
Two. The NCAA winks and nods "Yeah, just buy whatever player you want!" In which case a small horde of SEC schools start outbidding you when talent comes around.
Texas A&M, Bama, Florida, Arkansas (with our handful of billionaires who live within driving distance of the stadium) and a few other schools start buying players left and right while Ole Miss is just... there.
The best that can happen is Ole Miss gets a slap on the wrist for a season and the current system continues. The worst is we go back to the 60's and 70's and Ole Miss watches as other schools buy the best and brightest.
