I just don't think student population =\=large fan base. I think an alumni dominated fan base is great and something to be extremely proud of though.
Texas has 11 million more people than the rest of the SECw states combined.
We could add Kentucky, and South Carolina and still have 2.5 million left.
We are the second biggest fanbase in Texas.
So size isn't a knock, what else do you have Cas4t?

Idk what to tell you. I know one aTm fan IRL and have been to 2 football games. I've never seen anything that really wowed me. I'll concede to being wrong about the size; I didn't consider the sheer size of Texas.
But I've been to a shite load of SEC games and my order would be this:
LSU
Auburn
Bama
UGA
Ole Miss
aTm
The rest

I've conceded that twice now. I also said earlier in the thread that I've been to 2 games in CS in my life and was never blown away by the atmosphere. It doesn't come close to LSU, AU or Bama IMO

When you live in a place like Chicago, you realize how many people don't know and don't care about college football.
Last year, I had to explain to 3 different co-workers what "watching LSU and A&M" meant when talking about Thanksgiving plans.
