my house is now a Whiskey Free Zone bc of broken furniture and what my wife once described as "unsettling behavior".

Funny story - back in 2003 when Bama lost to Arkansas in OT I got a knock on the door by a Houston Police Officer responding to a domestic disturbance call. I told him I was alone and invited him in to look around if he'd like, but if he didnt mind I was going to sit back down to watch the game. There were shaker streamers everywhere from beating them on a table and an empty bottle of Crown on the floor. This story became apartment complex lore apparently.

I find it nearly imposible to suddenly not give a shite. And this is how this situation will go. They'll want to talk about how good the guacamole is while your sweating over a winning field goal. Just try copying that behavior.

Yep, this has disaster written all over it! I'd suddenly have some sort of stomach malady, as an excuse to stay home, if the pressure to watch the game with them intensifies.

If the game is close, you might have some serious apologies to dish out.

My friends threw a Christmas party the same night as the SECC when Bama beat Florida. My wife wouldn't let me decline.

Since that night, neither my friends nor my wife, nor anyone in attendance at that party, have ever even suggested another Christmas party without checking Alabama's schedule. (I am in Indiana and these friends are huge Purdue fans. They are still trying to come to terms with what an SEC fan looks and acts like.)

My family knows that thanksgiving night, i'd take my dinner plate to my room so I could curse the refs...

They are ALL SEC fans. We do dinner in knoxville every year about about 60 family members show up. They all get a hoot out of me bitching.

Finally this year, we will play Mizzou and most of them will have a vested interest in the game. Vols, Dawgs and one aubie and ole miss fan in my family.

Too bad we don't play LSU or Mizzou on thanksgiving night =(

I don't even watch games with my family. I go to the game room with a bottle of whiskey, two packs of smokes, and 3 lucky t-shirts (just in case 1 or 2 stop working). I scream, yell, throw stuff, chain smoke, and binge drink. Don't need the family or friends seeing that shite.
