Really? Did you watch 01/09/2012? Do you think 9 and 10 penalties a game occurr to many top teams? Do you think all the penalties reflect on discipline on the team?

Message Posted by ps101 How many penalities do they have? How many times do they line up with not enough players on the line?

Multiple holding penalties and multiple mistakes like fielding a punt running backwards at the 5.

First game I've actually sat down and watched them play this year. Doesn't bode well for our chances in the SEC west. Their o-line is impressive.

Their O'line has improved a lot.

You do know that they've gone head to head more times than that one game right? Only an unwise person would take one game out of the many and make decisive statements based only on it and I know that you are not unwise, right?

Head to head isn't the only way to judge coaching staffs. How you play against the rest of the league is kinda important too.

FYI, LSU would be undefeated if we swapped schedules with Bama

They are impressive, but they haven't played anyone yet to be really be tested

Yes I know.. Saban is the greatest coach to ever live. LSU has never and will never win another game as long as the university of Alabama exists. We should just terminate the football program.

Same amount of CG appearances as miles. Not saying miles is better just saying no other coach/program has matched up as well with them since 2007. Even his two "down" years we took them to the wire.

Mizzo has a weak defense and their starting QB was out since the start of the first half.

So whats up with this year? Both teams ranked in top 5 at the beginning of the year. Bama looks great. Lsu looks weak. Is that not Miles's fault to some degree?

PS Bama won NC last year with a first year starter at QB.

Look. We weren't expected to make the Title game last year. We did it and with a good amount of youth. The media expected us to be better this year. Look at what happened: we lost 7 DB's from last year, we are without two starting LB's, our starting LT, our Center is banged up, Hurst is gone, Blue is done for the year, etc. Our team has been through a lot this season. Of course it can be better, but I am proud of my boys.

They are playing a team that lost to Vandy last week and has a backup qb.

I missed the part where the season is over and we have played bama. We have played/continue to play a tougher schedule than bama. We have also lost 4/5 O line starters. I highly doubt bama would look as good as they do now in the same situation. Still if our WRs catch and dont fumble the football we are undefeated. Is there blame for the coaches? Yes. Is the team still developing and in transition? Yes.

I seem to remember in november 2010 around noon the board looked exactly like this. Doom and gloom Bama was gonna expose us etc. I withhold my judgement on this team as of now.
