I know its been discussed ad nauseum, but so has 99.99% of every other topic around here lately, so here is my .02.

First, ya'll are a bunch of psycho rednecks up there in Alybammi. Just kidding, we all love our football just maybe not to that level.

Seriously though, I was pretty disgusted to see Harvey Updyke get all that pub for being a giant POS. They could have told the story about him, and interviewed those close to him, and still paint the picture of how pathetic he is without giving him any air time.

Another thing that I noticed was they didn't even mention Tommy Tubberville. I mean the guy won what, 6 straight against the Tide in the modern era, and he didn't even get recognized? Kind of lame.

Overall, the wife and I were entertained, and it was good to see everyone come together after the tornado tragedy. Maybe this year AU can make it interesting again.

Kind of lame. I guess that little bit of history is not recognized.

99% of the IB history wasn't recognized by that show. I thought it was pretty lacking.

RT/WE is the only thing i have ever seen that brought both fanbases to the same side of anything so quickly.

It is one of the most poorly though up, researched, and executed sports doc ever.

It didn't even feel like they were talking about us, to be honest.

They really did breeze over any real information on the competitive back and forth of it and focused on filth. Some for both sides that was fairly unsubstantiated.

In short, it was very lacking on real perspective.

I watched it from a humorous perspective, it's entertaining that way. Come on, who takes Finebaum seriously? Wait, don't answer that.

Yeah, they really should have just called it the Toomers Tree Poisoning/T-Town Tornado/Finebaum.

I wish they would have done something like the HBO documentry on Ohio State/Michigan

While it didn't portray the history of the rivalry, I think it nailed where it is at today.

It was horrible. It took the worst time for the rivalry (outside of football) and made it seem like it's always been like that. It hasn't.

Umm…..yea they did….it was brief, but Tub’s and his 6 wins in a row were mentioned in that documentary..

It sucked.

Watch "Nick Saban, Gamechanger." Much better.

I stand corrected. It really must have been brief though, cause I missed it. I just felt like that was pretty important and 6 straight losses to AU, I'm sure had a lot to do with Bama frustration and the willingness to give Saban the world for him to come coach there.

it was, I think all they said was something like, then came a man named TT who rattled off six straight against the tide until Nick Saban came along. Then they went to Saban and rest of the shite.

Hell they didnt talk about Auburn in the 80's at all either, just a quick blurb on Bo

I'd disagree with this. I think there are very few people that represent what they put across on the show. People that talk junk on message boards aren't near the majority either, and a great deal of them don't represent or carry themselves the same way outside of the message boards. In everyday life, it's extremely rare that I encounter fans of either school acting like those portrayed or as they do on here.

Just not into that kind of thing. I'm more of a traditional porn guy. Bama porn just ain't my gig. Not judging, I mean if that's what you like, more power to ya.

This is true.

In real life, the vast majority of AU and UA fans get along fine. We're generally complimentary to strangers, and might talk a little friendly smack with friends. It could get out of hand in the heat of the moment if there is alcohol involved, but it's really not common.

People talk a bunch of shite in real life, but its more tounge and cheek and most dont take it to heart and laugh it off or retort with equal comment and then laugh about it

"The Play That Changed College Football," the documentary ESPN did right after Roll Tide/War Eagele about the creation of the SEC Championship Game and Langham's pick 6, was a million times better than RT/WE.

It met its goals, which was to generate interest. As a fan of Alabama, of the SEC, and of college football in general, I was very disappointed.

When I think of the Iron Bowl, I think of Van Tiffin's game winner, Punt Bama Punt, and a myriad of other tremendous moments. To put so much focus on Harvey Updyke was really sad, but I know why they did it. It sells, just like Finebaum (and Scarbinsky).

Don't knock it til you try it. You just might find it pretty exciting. You don't have to tell people you like it.

It is a good documentary though, especially for those that hate Saban.
