There is only one way to change your school's reputation and outlook. Win a championship.

In recent history Ole Miss was a doormat for the SEC. Sure on a down year for an opponent and with some luck maybe Ole Miss was a threat. No more. Now everyone will have a circle around Ole Miss.

The "wealthy" are attracted to Oxford, yet that isn't reflected in a higher-than-avg wealth index among your student body, nor is it reflected in your relatively small endowment.

Oxford is a nice small town, but it isn't any sort of Shangri-La to people who have experienced life outside of North Mississippi.

Oxford is two square blocks of cool surrounded by a hundred miles of terrible in every direction.

Rebel flags are still very much a part of the Grove experience. Ole Miss fans can't even have sticks on their shakers because if they allowed sticks, rebel flags would be back in VHS overnight.

You can't wrap your entire identity around one political statement and expect to attract something else.

Here is a picture from a game last season. No Rebel flags anywhere.

Just a few white ones.

Ole Miss lost 42-3 in its last football game.

Ole Miss fans don't even know what success looks like.
