How mad would LSU fans be if Les Miles takes Kansas to the playoffs?

Don't act like it can't happen. The Big 12 is weak. Miles can recruit too.

So if Miles can get some decent players to Lawrence and then win some big games in the Big 12 in his style, watch out.

LSU fans will make reasons up though and declare Coach O as their best friend.

I hope he shuts out some of those offenses, he will recruit a defense, and that is what I always wanted to see somebody in the Big 12 focus on.

Easy to recruit to Baton Rouge

Tough to recruit to Lawrence

I don’t see why people think this is a huge deal. Miles will have KU going 4-8 or 6-6 and all they can celebrate are wins over Kansas State

It would take Saban 3 full years to even get them back to respectability. Miles is 65 and his “style” (with the kind of recruits kU can get) will get absolutely creamed in the Big 12.

He’ll have done a good job if he can get a couple 6 win seasons by the time he is 70.

CFP? LOL!

Isn't the record between Mizzou and Kansas almost dead even?

I think you all should renew the series. But now you'll be too afraid.

Exactly. This has almost no chance of working.

Nobody seems to grasp just how awful kU is as a program from top to bottom at this point.

Nobody seems to grasp that schools like LSU recruit themselves.

Nobody seems to grasp where Miles is at this point if he had to take probably the worst P5 job in the country.

Miles couldn’t get LSU to the playoff and now he’s going to take kansas there? Goodness...

I wouldn’t be mad... hell I’ll probably be there wearing a Kansas shirt and cheering for them if the playoff game is in Nola, Atlanta or Dallas

LSU fans have 2 teams now, life is good!

Geaux Jayhawks! Les... love that guy

Afraid of a 65 yr old (would be 70 before we could even conceivably play) washed up coach who likes to run a 1980’s style offense.

Nah dude

I think the only people in CFB that think this is a bad hire live in Missouri

Even if Les doesn’t win a single game, this hire was worth it for PR and as a statement that Kansas is taking football seriously.

I know Les will win, though, because he’s a winner.

I hope Les tears it up at Kansas.

I even hope Dinardo has a career rebound.

Never said it was a bad hire, and I understand exactly why they did it.

So you're saying he's adapted a new offense?

It's not a bad hire, it's a bad job. kU is in the middle of a wasteland. This was his only shot at a payday so there is that. Les will fade quickly there. Bookmark it!

They are reduced to touting Allen fieldhouse cause they have no choice. They can't afford to upgrade it.

The football stadium is even worse. They had to block off most of the seats due to the infrastructure collapsing. The flippin' thing was built in the 1920s.

I've been to both Lawrence, KS and Columbia, Mo. I can tell you that Lawrence is a lot better than Columbia, hands down.

Go Gayhawks!

I would agree with you but then we would both be wrong.

Low rents looked its best on May 21st of 1865. It's been all down hill from there.

It continues to amaze me how many fans have little to no grasp on the hierarchy of college football. kansas is an awful job, arguably the worst in all of P5. Nobody is taking to the playoffs, you’re stupid as frick to even suggest it. Saban couldn’t do it, let alone a 65 yr old washout who has been reduced to taking such a shitty job.

Maybe he can get them to a couple low tier bowls by the time he retire...MAYBE. That would be success for him. Not only is it a bad job, they are as low as they’ve ever been and a complete tear down/rebuild is required. They’ve won 6 conference games in the past 10 years and have lost to multiple FCS teams in that time period.

Can he get them to where they aren’t the worst team in the country? Yeah, probably. The fricking playoffs?! Jesus, get real dude.

Herm Edwards was going to fall flat on his face, too, according to the conventional wisdom.
