I do not hate Auburn.

My dislike list is topped by Alabama and Ohio St. Next tier includes aTm (is moving up my shite list very fast) and Ole Miss. And third tier is Fla and Ark.

I have enjoyed the trips I have taken to Auburn. Some of those games were BS when refs totally screwed us and Tubberville can kiss my arse, but Auburn doesn't get me rattled.

I don't like Auburn as much as I like UGA, but I can't think of an SEC team besides UGA and possibly Vandy that I hate less.

The only "hate" I have towards LSU stems from some of the fans I've seen on here. But overall, that's an asinine reason to hate an institution. So overall, I don't have much dislike at all for LSU, and would be perfectly content switching out the 1/2 spot in the SEC West.

Actually, AU is pretty high on my dislike list. Mostly because my girlfriends little brother is an AU fan and we are always talking sh*t. 3 win streak gets him for now tho

I generally like LSU people. I feel its a good rivalry on game day and week. Otherwise, not much emotion in it. Especially under the guise of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" relative to bama.

I spend my dislike on Bama and Georgia.

We hated them during the Tuberville years because of Tuberville, but not anymore. It's traditionally just been a great game that both teams want to win. That's about it.

LSU never had a coach that you could hate. Even when Saban was there, their fans did not beat their chest like the bama fans. I think AU fans realize that Les Miles is good for college football, and enjoy watching him.

Hardly have ever seen an Auburn fan or LSU fan fight. Most of their conversations end up being about how much they hate Alabama.

I guess that Tubby was a little bit disrespectful a couple of times. I'm aware of the "cigar game" in '99 and the let's-go-for-a-touchdown-instead-of-taking-a-knee-with-five-seconds-left game in '00. Didn't he also have all of the players stomp on LSU's mid-field logo once?

Its mostly because Auburn is LSU's second biggest game while LSU is usually Auburn's third. While the game is big it means less than losing to or beating Bama or UGA.

Not true. No Offense but AU is not typically a game I circle on the schedule. obviously its Bama and usually Fla. I'd say coming into the season last year you were probably the 4-5th biggest game behind Bama, UF, UGA, A&M, and probably TCU as well.

Now this year that theory is correct. Oct 4th in JHS will be a big one

LSU is weird for me. I like watching LSU play, like playing LSU, like watching LSU beat teams I like less, like UGA or UAT.

I do hate LSU on gameday, and I like it when you get embarrassed, but I can't think of a time that I went for an OOC team against you like I typically do for UGA/UAT.

In sum, I don't think I have much spite for LSU. I probably feel about LSU the same as I do UF.

That.

My thoughts on the Auburn-LSU games especially in the early 2000s is the players on both sides physically killed each other on the field, probably wrecking either teams ability to win it all.

Tuberville and the cigars was so classless and really tacky, but people now these days don't look at it that way, but there is truly a thing called KARMA and LSU usually gets the last laugh!!!!

I will add that the officiating at Jordan Hare has been horrendous in critical games, costing LSU the West at least twice in the last decade. Skip Bertman even made an official statement to the press in 2006 about the officiating in that game which, imo, was perhaps the most biased and poorly officiated game I have ever seen. It is the only time that I can ever recall an LSU AD openly stating that not only were the refs wrong, but the SEC was wrong in upholding the calls. This type of officating lends credence to the belief among many SEC fans (I lived in GA for 10 years as well as LA and travel Florida and Mississippi as well as Alabama for my job) that dirty tactics are a given within the state of Alabama when it comes to SEC football. A "win at all costs" attitude. Try getting a holding call against Alabama in Tuscaloosa. But getting shafted by the refs in '06 cost LSU the West and and another shot at Florida in the SEC Championship game, a Florida team that barely beat Vandy (4-8) and squeaked one out against South Carolina (7-5) by one point. Florida then went on to win the national championship game. So, there are still a lot of "what ifs" about that year and what might have been for us if we hadn't gotten the shaft in that game. Winning 6 of the last 7 against Auburn has been sweet, but no one will forget what happened in 2006.

LINK

With all of that said, Auburn fans are so much better than Alabama fans! World of difference!
