Unless your team is Kentucky or Florida, you're a liar if you say you wouldn't want him on your team.

Look at the girl in the top right with the AU printed dress 2/3's of the way through.. That's one of the best "oooh shitts" I've ever seen.

His shooting percentage isn't quite 38%, but it almost is

That is because 90% of the shots he takes are from beyond the arc. Considering that angle, his shooting percentages are not bad.

Playing another year of college ball because he knows it's the highest he'll ever get? He really loves Oxford and wanted to get his degree (He's not an idiot academically speaking)?

There are a number of reasons.

European ball is a higher level than SEC. He could come back and get his degree and not miss out on a year of 300-500k income.

Yeah it is, because his 36% from behind the arc isn't a very good percentage. It isn't terrible, but it is definitely bad enough that he shouldn't be throwing up 12 per game. That's madness.

We are not out of the tourney yet. The SEC is so weak and so cannibalistic this year that only UF and UK are guaranteed to be invited, but it would be unprecedented for the SEC to get no more than 2 teams in and Ole Miss has as good a shot as any of the other teams of being the 3rd team invited.

In fact, Joe Genardi said last week that if we beat either Alabama or Georgia on the road and either Florida or Kentucky at home, then we would be among the last 4 in, with a relatively soft schedule the rest of the way.

Maybe he doesn't want to leave the states?

It's not just that 90% of his shots are from beyind the arc--it is that he often has two defenders in his face when he is shooting--or is off-balance--or is 35 feet from the basket.

If he were not a dangerous player, opposing coaches would not be so obsessed with covering him whenever they play us.....

So you're saying that 90% of his shots he shouldn't be taking?

Who is going to pay him $400k to play ball? Be specific.....

Europe League:

Exactly. I'm guessing the advice he got was that nobody really wanted him.

That's incorrect. Plenty of European players make over a million.

Example: Jamont Gordon (MSU player) made over a million in 2011-2012 playing in Moscow.

Nevermind...you said starting salary. So I guess you can go from making 100k to making 1-4 million within a couple of seasons.

Thats pretty terrible rationale. He shouldn't be shooting it, then... Nobody is telling him to stop doing it, but they need to. I don't understand how anyone can want a player on their team taking these shots when you KNOW they go in at an extremely low percentage. Give it to someone who will take a balanced shot and hit it at 45%.

He's a good shooter, but that doesn't mean he needs to take terrible shots and make his shooting percentage 37%. Its really such a basic team-basketball concept.

The fear he creates in opposing coaches that causes them to double team him has resulted in guys being wide open in the paint for easy shots--Henderson makes a lot of assists without it being noticed.

So it all balances out. If he were not making a high percentage of those crazy shots, the opposing coaches would not be double teaming him....and we would not get a lot of the good looks under the basket that we get
