No question that UTk was more physical and more of a challenge. Bama wasn't real focused on UTk and hasn't been in years because it's been an auto W. I just hope it doesn't screw us in the future.

On paper, this game should not have been a challenge, but UTk coming off an open date, and Bama playing its 8th straight game with what has typically been a matchup of highly ranked teams coming next, Bama was tired and looking ahead and it showed.

I'm still skeptical that Bama overlooked UT, but if that is what happened, you guys better be sure you don't pull that same stunt this coming year, because I highly doubt you would get away with it this time around.

Probably not. I agree. This will be UTks best team in years.

Is this thread some of that positive self-gratification that Nick is always talking about?

If so, I'm in.

Every team has their ups and downs. OM matched up well for the 'Bama game(5 turnovers notwithstanding)and looked overmatched, as you say, against the Gators. LSU overpowered the Gators on both lines but showed a severe lack of good depth from injuries against 'Bama, OM and Arkansas. 'Bama was the overall most physical team I saw nationally last season, which was no surprise. Looking ahead to LSU this season, 5 freshmen linemen from last season who either started are ran in the two-deep will look to play more dominantly this season. Two of them, Clapp and Key, were freshman AA. Look for both to make all-SEC this season.

Yeah not seeing Clapp making all SEC, Key maybe 3rd team because you got way to many JR and senior DE's so much better.
