Failure to appear. He still owes $793,000+ for killing the Toomers Oaks.

quote:

A Lee County judge issued a warrant to hold Harvey Updyke Jr. in contempt of court after he failed to show up to a hearing today. Lee County Circuit Judge Jacob Walker III issued the warrant Tuesday afternoon, after Updyke did not appear in court for a restitution hearing. According to court documents, Updyke is scheduled for a hearing on March 1 where he will have to show "good cause" as to why he did not show up for court. Records state that he could be arrested for being in contempt if he does not show a valid reason for skipping today's hearing.

The warrant will be served to Updyke in Louisiana, where he is currently living.

I searched for Harvey before posting.

Also, this thread is a kind of BOLO for people in LA and AL. Helping the justice system.

Probably because the original thread got moved to a board that is more suited for pointless, non-football related talk.

I'm going to suggest you guys go ahead and make other plans for how to pay the electric bill down there. My guess is you're not going to get this $793K out of Harvey.

The real criminal is the lake house owner whose business was power company right of way.

Harvey would not have ever heard of Spike 80 if not for him.

Da tweez were already dying due to many years of power washing toilet paper off of them. See the link to your own alumni magazine from Feb 2007 (almost 4 years before Harvey's incident) stating the trees were dying.

Trees Dying in Feb 2007, not 2010

You guys should change your helmet logos to this ....

If I'm the DA, I'm willing to make a plea deal...

He is absolved of his debt in exchange for burning him at the stake at Toomer's Corner after the A-Day game.

We can charge a dollar per raffle ticket for who lights the match. Would raise 3 million dollars right off the bat. Win-Win for all involved.

Out of curiosity, how much have the taxpayers of Lee County spent on trying to squeeze blood from this particular stone?

This. I mean people actually left flowers, notes, etc at the base of a dying tree. That is just plain weird.
