Report: Former Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze used ‘burner’ phones to conceal contact with recruits from NCAA

quote:

Now, a new side of the story emerged Tuesday from The Wall Street Journal’s Andrew Beaton. The report cites Thomas Mars, the attorney for former coach Houston Nutt, who contends there is evidence that Ole Miss coaches used “burner” phones to conceal talks with recruits. View image on Twitter

You know that this, if true, will make it worse!

Ole Nutt knows where the bodies are buried. Who on Beaver's former staff is giving him up?

No burner phones are mentioned by the NCAA. This story came out today.

The allegation that coaches instructed the recruits to put names and numbers in the phones would suggest a cover-up from the Ole Miss staff that had not yet been revealed.

Mars has a sworn affidavit that they were using burner phones so which ever coach escapes without a show cause will be the one that tuned on Freeze. My guess is Chris Kiffin.

By fans on here, proof of the matter and a public statement is a tad bit different.

A few months ago I heard but was skeptical that Mars had somehow traced the phones and had record of thousands of calls during the dead period over the last few years, if so NOA 3 is going to be comming in soon.

While I am sure the NCAA just wants to wash it's hands of OM at this point they can not let this be public knowledge and leave it unaddressed.

Nutt/Mars vs UM, Foundation and IHL would have no influence on who gets show cause as far as NCAA is concerned.

Everyone is doing this, I suspect.

In other news, Arkansas should thank their lucky stars that Nutt abandoned ship. He strikes me as a vindictive, unhinged loon. I personally think he has some sort of personality defect.

Watched that Mitch Mustain documentary, and if what they say is true, he's almost as big of a fraud as Hugh Freeze.

We all wondered why CHF didn't use a burner when CHN spilled the beans about the call to the escort service.

I still wonder.

Yes I understand that but someone is talking and and if it means they save their career by ratting out the rest to the NCAA I could also see that same person being the one who signed a sworn affidavit for Mars.

Here's the thing...

1- We were done until Tunsil.

2- Now we are done again and this pops up.

WHO wants to see this keep on? BUT the NCAA, if they let it go, look week. That's not what boss was hired to do.

His job is to regain the image lost of the NCAA... not keep it toothless.
