In recent memory, Rashad Johnson. All though he was eventually given a scholarship. Will Lowery has been impressive.

no, but close... Jay Egloff, former fullback that walked on after LSU cancelled its nationally ranked wrestling program. He got into a scuffle with Michael Brooks in his first practice and more than held his own.

Just off the top of my head: Derrick Locke.

Mikie Benton was a walk on and has been one of our only DBs worth a shite this year, so that counts for something.

kelly washington is the first to come to mind for us. but im pretty sure i have heard of one for us that was better, just can't think of it now.
