Just curious bro, I'm probably about to punch out and wondering about out of state tuition and if you had to deal with it. I've read a little about it, just curious about your experience.

Yes to both.

I have looked into out of state schools. Narrow your search down to schools that have Yellow Ribbon programs. If you're getting 9/11 GI Bill @ 100%, a lot of schools have programs to cover the difference between tuition/fees and GI Bill tuition caps.

Also, take at least half time on campus to get full BAH. I made the mistake of taking distance learning courses one semester and didn't get much in terms of BAH.

ETA: Save at least 2 months worth of living expense money for your first semester. It takes a while to get your first check.

I've heard about this and need to check into it more. And yeah, I'm not getting fricked out of the full BAH.
