Evidenced by last year...

Did you see the profits by this year's sec game?

Don't kid yourself. Atlanta made some dough two weeks ago.

4. There’s a reasonable chance of having 3 undefeated power 5 champions that all deserve to have things decided on the field. That’s why 2 is insufficient. The potential for 3-4 undefeated teams was the only flaw with the BCS championship game. The probability of 5 undefeated teams is low enough that I think it’s negligible.

8. Anything else and you get into 3 and 4 loss teams

You already do with 8, because the dumbasses yapping for 8 always say include the power 5 champions. So you just made the argument to stay at 4.

No automatic qualifiers.

Use the old BCS formula to select 8 best teams.

If 3 of them happen to be in the same conference then so be it.

8. Five conference champs and 3 at large. SEC always gets 2 teams.

The Pac-12 produces a shitty product, and their attendance is poor. They are barely better than the best G5 league. I wouldn't give the Pac-12 an auto bid.

As much as I dislike it, get rid of the conference bowl games and use that game as a playoff game. It’s obvious the conference bowls don’t matter anymore as evidenced by last year.

What da fuq is a conference bowl?

Anything more is a solution in search of a problem. 4 is fine.
