Why do your CB's and LB's hold so much?
Only chance they had against Von. Plus it helps Von get prepared for certain schools, ahem Florida ahem, play.

I just want to point out something -- the SEC actually has several teams with damned good crops of WR. For a league whose bread-n-butter was mostly punishing ground games (with occasional outliers like Spurrier and Petrino) it's actually pretty cool that the SEC is going to be punishing teams every which way. It means the league is starting to become even more dominant.
You may not know this but Scrooster can back me up on it - Tennessee has churned out great WRs for ages. We were WRU long ago and are becoming WRU again.
It's easily forgotten because the ground game was so dominant under both Majors and Fulmer but we have deep tradition when it comes to WR that goes back to the olden days - you know the times Scrooster remembers.
But you're right it's good to see more dynamic offense around the league.

OM will have the best receiving corp in 2015.

everyone knows UT has a bad situation at QB but there is no denying they have a very good group of WRs. I'll give credit where credit is due. Sucks for them they don't have a reliable QB to get them the ball, but that depth of size and talent is pretty incredible

Yeah, we will be even more stacked at WR next year. Williams is a straight up beast and we lose no one this year.

Seriously. As sad as this is, ainge is the best qb we've had since Martin.
casey clausen was 14-1 on the road as a starter. this thread continues to display my belief that he is the most under-appreciated player in Tennessee history

Yeah, that's the big question mark right now. If Worley or Dobbs can step up and be above average, our offense could give teams a problem.

Some troll posts/lighthearted jokes are funny and I enjoy reading them on SECR, but good lord this guy is just terrible. I've never RA'd in my life and I don't plan to but I'm actually contemplating to turn him in. This guy needs post quality review badly.
Do it. I don't mind a good troll either, but when his incoherent mental diarrhea clusters every thread that even mentions the Vols, that's where I draw the line.

Thanks. I'm not sure why that's so hard to admit. It's crazy how much talent we have at both WR and TE this year - both positions were huge weaknesses last year but now they're so stocked it's not even funny.
I actually think that talent upgrades and second year in the system for the 'older' (I use that term loosely) guys is going to make our QBs jobs a whole lot easier. They don't even have to be good or mediocre with the talent around them - they just have to be serviceable. If they can do that we'll score points. The big worry is will the oline allow the WRs/TEs and RBs to do anything or will our tackles get our QBs killed?
A lot folks forget that it wasn't all on our QBs - we replaced the entire passing game last season with no one who had any experience at all. Marquez North was a bright spot but he was learning on the job and had never played WR. We didn't even have a steady guy in the slot. And the QBs themselves, particularly Worley and Peterman might as well have been true freshman as they were learning a whole new system as they went.
I have a lot of guarded optimism regarding the improvements I've seen at QB and because the skills players can make up for even bad QB play to some degree. They may not be world beaters but they're miles ahead of where they were this time last year.
But again, that oline, particularly when looking at what's behind those projected to start is just

No doubt! Victim of the time he played. Followed Manning and a national title.

Casey has a lot of supporters, especially those of us who watched him firsthand but I agree with you whole heartedly - he was and still is under-appreciated by too many. People who don't remember the Ice Man missed a fricking gamer. But for some, he's like Tee Martin in that neither were flashy QBs or the type people drool over (too many fall in love with cannons - everything else be damned). For some reason, people will praise Bray and guys like him but forget that Casey and Tee were two blue collar, ice in their veins, badass QBs who simply won and won all the time.
I don't know what more you can ask for in a QB. Give me a guy who just wins, who is always clutch, who makes stuff happen over a guy who has a sexy arm but can't get it done and lacks the heart and will to make a difference in tough games.

I know that catch hurt but North is one of the most laid back WRs you'll ever meet. He's about as far from TPOS as you can get.
