So Tennessee has never scored more than 38 points in a game? Never scored in the final few minutes of a game? OK.

Funny we never hear these things about Wisconsin or Oklahoma who really do run up scores.

Was glad that Bama took a knee with 2 minutes in Ole Miss game.

I wanted 400 yards rushing, and then a knee.

What vol fans are complaining about this? It was a simple flare to the running back and we couldn't make a tackle. Simple as that, if it was a bomb to the endzone then yeah that's running it up but that was just our defense missing tackles and being slow.

I wish every thread related to Tennessee wasn't filled with excuses from Tennessee fans about someone destroying the program. It's the same old song and dance. Just STFU.

I don't care about the last TD but for the fact that our defense is mystified by plays to the outside.

Exactly. It was 4th and 4 and we basically threw a lateral to a WR/RB behind the line of scrimmage. Its not our fault UT wasn't able to stop him. Perhaps we should have gone for the pass into the endzone, that way some of the fans would actually have a legit reason to bitch about running up the score.

Running up the score was what Florida did to us in 2007, not what LSU did yesterday.

Really, complaining about getting beaten too badly is what losers do. I would rather complain that our team has to get a lot better before we have a prayer against even decent SEC competition.

Congrats you beat a rebuilding team that is missing its starting qb and best receiver, glad you need style points to make the score look better! I never cheer for Bama under any circumstances, but I hope they throttle the Tigers!

Since when did it become LSU's job to stop UT from scoring!!!

There are less than two minutes left and the tigers go for it on 4th and 4. This was not a run play, it was a screen pass to the flats that had been open the entire game. The vols were obviously stacking the box expecting a run. It's amazing how the LSU fan base is trying to justify this classless and disrespectful play at the end of the game. Congrats on your moral victory

It is the defense's job to stop the RB.

The term "Butt Hurt" is one of the most over used retorts on this board. To the point it has lost all meaning. However, in this instance it is entirely appropriate.

It's completely absurd to me that anyone would gripe about the last TD. I think someone may have said this, but it's not LSU's job to stop themselves from scoring. That last play was just as good as a run. If "running up the score" is the only thing you take away from this game, then you are completely clueless. However, your first problem was lurking Volnation for info...

It's football. If you don't like it, stop them before they get into the endzone. I remember Spurrier doing that to LSU years ago. I'm still waiting for an apology that will never come.

Why didn't Tennessee just stop playing so hard the last half of the 4th quarter? They knew LSU was going to win, so why not just sit back and not try to do much of anything instead of trying to score?
