VOLS injury update for TSIO

LB Darrin Kirkland will be back. He's been out since the VT game.
C Dylan Weisman and LB Cortez McDowell will be gametime decisions after suffering concussions in A&M game.
LG Jashon Robertson is expected to play after leaving the A&M game in the 4th quarter with an injury.
RB Jalen Hurd is expected to be 100% and will play.
LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin and CB Cameron Sutton are out.

I haven't had a chance to follow this closely. Is this better, worse, or basically what UT expected?

I bet Alabama has a few injuries as well, right?

Foster and Taylor had concussions but are expected back. Otherwise healthy.

A little better imo simply due to getting Kirkland back. Most thought he would be out until the South Carolina game.

This is the first one I am aware of. He does come in so hard to lay the wood, so it is possible he has some before.

Not sure how many Foster has had during games, but over the past few years I believe he has had at least 1 or 2 during practice.

You never can tell with concussions obviously but I would be a little surprised if Wiseman played given his reaction on the sidelines after his hit.

I think Kirkland will be replacing McDowell so I see Cortez sitting out unless it is an emergency situation.
Would love to have Wiesman back but Thomas being 100% now can more than handle the C position.
Sutton and JRM are still just huge voids on our D and they hurt bad. Colton is playing great but we really don't have a physical lock down CB on the outside to replace Cam at all.
Hoping Kamara gets the most carries Saturday even though this will be a game we need Hurd's physicality.

We are going to need McDowell available to give Kirkland or Jumper a breather every now and then. God help VOLS if Butch is forced to trot out Gavin Bryant or Elliott Berry for significant snaps against Alabama

That's the toughest part, I would imagine. Those two are preseason All SEC talents.
Was the DT that was booted from the team the same guy who was injured in the A&M game? Did he play much?
