You make all Mizzou fans look bad. Semotruman told me today that she's thinking of banning you.
Gonna have to give her my blessing.
Gonna have to give her my blessing.

I'm not gonna disagree, but you guys could take the first step by retiring his number.

That's the best you've got? Not surprising when you can't debate the facts.

BamaGrad, you're lauding a guy who could ball but also knew his place as a gay man.
You southerners are big on people (and schools) knowing their place, aren't you? I lived in Montgomery from '03-'06 so I speak from first hand experience. All is well down there as long as the social order is maintained.
Enlightenment - get some...

I wouldn't have a problem with that. Our first Black All-American.

If that's true, I'd accept her / their ruling.
When I've been called out (like earlier today), I readily and sincerely apologized.
My comments toward you in this thread were after seeing you (not your fan base) made comments such as your horseshoe / Sam comment in this thread.
I made no comment toward the apparently gay player referenced.
He made the leap to connect it to my reply to you.

You're being too nice. Tell VNS to gfh. He's a dickbag.
I mean, I like him (no homo). But he's a dickbag and needs to gfh.

We have some incredibly strict guidelines to have your number retired. I think one maybe that you must be in the College Football HOF. Let me check and get back

Missouri supports openly homosexual's. I think we know who will win the game.

Football Criteria
If you thought the basketball policy was tough, check out the football qualifications:
THREE of the following...
Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame
SEC Player of the Year
First Team All-American
Heisman Trophy winner
Winner of either the Sullivan Award, Draddy Award, or SEC Athlete of the Year (all sports)
....AND, THREE of the following:
Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame
NFL Offensive or Defensive MVP
FIVE Pro Bowl selections
Own a major single season or career statistical record

Incredibly stringent guidelines.
Must have three of 5 college achievements: college football hall of fame, SEC player of the year, Consensus All American, Heisman, one of the Maxwell/Outland etc.
They must also have three of 4 NFL accomplishments: NFL hall of fame, Offensive or Defensive MVP, Pro bowler for 5 seasons, holder of a major statistical record.
It's really hard to get your number retired at Tennessee.

2 things...
I don't think a college player's number being retired should be about their NFL awards. Just my opinion, I know others disagree.
The other- Tennessee still wins this, and only because it is at home. The last time Missouri came to Knoxville, it was 2012 and Derek Dooley was on his way out. Not making excuses- the Vols were terrible that year. This is a new team with a new attitude. And our QB isn't making his first career start on the road like last year.
I think the Vols offense is better than Missouri and defenses are pretty comparable- I'd even given Missouri a slight edge here with Shane Ray even though I would say Derek Barnett is pretty comparable as a true freshman.
Vols win a close one at home, regardless of this. Which is a shame. I hope the truth comes out, guilty or not.
