Real question. What was the issue TN fans/administration had with Martin? Coaching style, personality? Taking all the white womenz?

There were rumors about the boosters making Martin's life difficult, not letting him use the jets or something?
Coaches talk, and like all professions, this could really bite them in the arse.
Martin might not have been worth a boat load of money, but he was ok.

Didn't make the tourney two years. Should have the second. Had to sneak in a play in game the third. With a roster that was talented enough to make a sweet sixteen run. As in, he really sucked during the regular season. And the NIT was pretty shitty as well.
Also didn't recruit particularly well. UT will struggle next year.
Positives: players coach, great off the court discipline, team gave max effort in tourney, tourney run.
He was good, not great. But worth more than he was paid. I personally think the UT boosters and university leadership is full of head cases.

Not very passionate. Terrible in the media. Quiet guy and didn't seem interested half of the time. Did absolutely nothing to market the program or brand. Refuses to argue with referees. His teams only start playing well at the end…losing to shite teams early in year. Terrible assistant coaches who brought zero to the table.
Average recruiter
Only positive is his players got better every year.
Cuonzo Martin is basically the exact opposite of Bruce Pearl. We want a Pearl type personality and excitement.
