LSU backed out of that lol. NOT Oklahoma. OU has played tOSU, FSU,ND, TN, just in the last 8 years, you think they are worried about LSWho?

Yeah they suck for sure. Especially if you get suckered into the same one. I dont think ADs realize that there are many CFB fans that love going to new college towns to see their teams play. Get to experience old stadiums, and not fancy NFL stadiums.

As a UT fan Im not excited about this one as I went to Norman last time. It was cool to visit, and enjoyed it. But nothing special special to want to go back. Still kicking myself for backing out of our Oregon trip years ago. Now if that happened again I would have been stoked. I want to see us play at Mich, ND (same as Oregon), Rose Bowl, OH ST, Penn St, Florida St, not many others that would be, WI (Lambeau would be cool), Wash, Colo. Neb. Yeah pretty much about it. Ha.

As to whether LSU backed out or OU did is a pissing match. What is a fact is the N.C. that LSU won by butt stomping one of OU's best teams ever. They don't call him Big Game Stoops for no reason.

Props to Sooners for scheduling it, probably the best B12 school when it come to scheduling decent OOC games. Baylor seems to be the worst so please beat them as often as possible.

Are you just a fan or do you have any pull in the AD's office for a Stoops vs Stoops game in OU vs UK game?

thoughts...

OU won't cancel second game as someone prognosticated. We love big intersectional matchups.

I like it, it'll only be the fifth and sixth meetings ever between the two.

Not sure what LSU poster is talking about. In Stoops tenure alone, we've played non - conference series against many of sport's best programs; ND, Alabama, Miami, FSU, OSU, Oregon. Our future schedules include Ohio St., Michigan, Nebraska and hopefully LSU.

Who knows? Maybe LSU is the problem with scheduling it. According to official OU site, LSU is TBA. I thought however that I saw the game on the schedule a couple of years back in the 2020s?? Scheduling Tennessee could be a response to those dates falling through?

Anyhow, I'm pretty sure we'll play anyone. I would like to see us schedule Southern Cal and Penn State, the only "royalty" we haven't played in this era regular season. But Tennessee will be a great series again I'm sure.

Didn't your players rustle the Tennessee fans after the game at Neyland somehow? Not that they can't get riled up and act like jackasses all by themselves, but I recall some sort of little dust up.

Maybe. I didn't attend that game. Striker was running his mouth after game I did see that. Butch Jones said something to him which was a bit strange.

Striker and one or two others taunted the crowd after game and really kinda just acted like jackasses. It was very strange -- the kind of thing I'd expect from a rival rather than an OOC opponent.

Obviously, it wasn't enough to say we hate you or whatever, just weird.

Play a few years without the extra bye week and you won't even want an OOC schedule. Big 12 screwed themselves staying with the round robin schedule.

Kudos to UT for scheduling a tough home and home. I remember the days of interesting home and homes. But Saban and our athletic department don't give a shite about fans wanting intersectional matchups with good teams over these fricking neutral site ripoff games in sterile NFL caverns that don't benefit anyone but the sponsors. Like we still need the recruiting exposure from these games. I want to see storied college venues like Happy Valley and Lincoln and Ann Arbor, not JerryWorld.

That's what pleases me with this series. I fricking hate neutral site games but sadly, they will not be going away.

Home and homes between traditional OOC powers is one of the best things about college football imo.

I agree with this. I'd hate to be a Florida or Bama fan expecting a good out of conference game unless it was slanted in your favor as an opening game at neutral field. Cowards

How do neutral games "slant in our favor"? That's very stupid.

I do hate neutral site games and envy cool home and homes.
