Wow. That did look a tad suspicious.

shite, everyone knows Bama gets the benefit of the calls by SEC officials. This has been fact for decades.

See, it's chit like this that should be explained by the SEC offices to limit the talk of cheating and for the integrity of the game. There may be a perfectly sane reason he did that but I sure as hell don't know what it is.

In the way this was done, no way. He did it while spotting the ball and continued to move the ball up to make sure it was a first, even though his foot spot, where it is seen on the field typically, was well behind.
And then the twisting of the foot like "nope, no one will notice" and STILL putting the ball far ahead of his toes even though the foot is sideways

lol I saw that and thought it looked weird how he spotted it. we need to see where the player actually went down, though. show that for full disclosure.

Their fans always reply asking for proof when people say the refs cheat for them. Well...
But I'm sure it was just this guy and this was the first time it has ever happened ever.

I thought the player was short, clearly short. Then we got the weird favorable spot, which I still thought wasn't enough, and THEN they signaled first down without measuring...and it was definitely within measuring range.

That was kind of shady.

Thanks.
Although we were no strangers to these types of shenanigans. Texas used to get some of this kind of love in the Big 12.

Homeboy fumbled that ball (besides not even crossing the goal line), and they gave Texas a TD.
Not a fumble recovery. Not the ball on the 1/2 yard line. A fricking TD!

Damn. Pretty crazy.....awesome, since I'm a Bama fan.
If they'll take money from Alabama...why isn't someone else paying them more?
