No bob didn't tell him he was getting redshirted. He was off the team until he earned his place back. That gives him an eligible year under NCAA rules. Bob never just handed him a redshirt for hitting a girl.

He's a football player. None of the other men nearby would have been able to beat him up. If somebody who super strong like Arnold Schwarzenegger was nearby and refused to beat Mixon up then I'd be highly critical.
