If I worked 17 hours a day 365 days a year I would probably hit the sauce pretty hard as well.

Aren't KS and Holgo buddies? I'm sure they've knocked a few back in their time.

At a popular bar with a very young crowd with coworkers, noticed Kevin Sumlin, coach of TAMU, standing at the bar, surveying the crowd. I approached, shook his hand and congratulated him on his season. He immediately told me he was taking pictures and my girlfriend shouldnt have ever asked him earlier. "Excuse me, my girlfriend? I dont have a girlfriend". Since I'm weirded out, I step to the side and look at my phone, slightly out of embarassment. As I look up, he is staring right at me and says, "better not be tweeting anything either." Me: "Sir, I'm not tweeting anything. I dont even know how". KS: "I saw you doing it right now". Me: (holding up my phone screen) "No just sending a text. I went to Notre Dame, I understand how twitter can cause problems". He shakes my hand and I walk away. He didn't seem drunk, but there was something incredibly odd about this guy, as in I wouldn't trust this guy in my house. A bunch of people thought he looked like he was on cocaine. idk.
I realize this may be judgmental but why is 50 year old man with a wife and 4 children hanging out at a bar/club full of early-20 somethings at 1 am in Houston on a Monday night? I can't imagine Brian Kelly doing the same.

To the point of needing to be carried out of a public area? No, I'd say the AD would say that is not allowed. Prob even standard contract language regarding PR.

I saw Kevin Sumlin at a grocery store in Starkville after last year's game. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly. Some coaches act really strange after losses.

So you can't get drunk anymore? WTF is wrong here? Why does there have to be faux outrage every time someone does something these days? Any frick the person with the camera for posting this video.

Seriously. If this is him, so fricking what? Him getting to fricked up at the end of the night vs at a boosters event or drinking on the job are completely different.

If I got my arse beat like the last two weeks, I'd be taking shots too. He's just joking to his room to crash. That's responsible way to handle irresponsible drinking. But he needed a good bender.

Thus, today Sumlin has a lot on his plate. The problems are numerous. Tactical and staff changes must be made. But losing games is one thing, losing his team’s confidence is something altogether more complicated and potentially damaging.

Today, Sumlin must gather his team and find a way, some way, somehow, to fix more than Xs and Os. He must mend fences. And regain his team’s trust.

And possibly a lot in his glass too.
