Yeah not gonna blame a dude for either one.

I understand your stance and get where you're coming from.

Where we grew up is a lot different that Noxubee County, MS.

The culture where he was raised is different. Would the kid be going to Mississippi St. if he wasn't a stud at football? Probably not.

He shouldn't have intervened like he did, it's hard not to when your loved ones get involved in an altercation.

If there wasn't cell phone video of this, nobody would care too much. The Joe Mixon incident was multiple degrees worse and no gives a shite about that anymore. A few patty-cake punches that did zero damage is little more than a slap box.

If we are to live in the society that SJW's and feminists want to live in then there should be no consideration of race or gender or religion when reacting to this incident.

Is it good manners? No. Does it portray the behavior we wish student-athletes-minor leaguers on our favorite college football teams to engage in? No. Does the student-athlete need to be held to a higher standard? Debatable.

Pretty pathetic behavior.
Even more pathetic, someone will sign this kid.....

If you believe a lot of the people in this thread, it wasn't that big a deal.

I know this is an SEC football forum, so I shouldn't be surprised by dumb opinions. However, this thread still amazes me despite the pathetically low expectations I have for the intelligence of the posters here.

hold up, this is nothing more than state college chickens coming home to roost. you guys have had a field day with the nkemdiche drama, while claiming that Starkville is a bastion of self righteousness and high character. and in the past 2 weeks we have seen 2 dui arrests of possibly the 2 best players in the history of SNITCH U and a brutal assault of a woman by the highest rated recruit that SNITCH U has ever signed...don't really give a shite how you try to spin this, but this is called reaping what you sow.

None of the players you listed were on State's football team when the incidents occurred.

Hope this helped.

Well... here's the thing... when Nkemdiche messed-up with the incident you referenced... Freeze kicked him off the team, which means that he won't play in The Sugar Bowl (very important New Year's bowl especially for Ole Miss due to their performance in their previous bowl game).

So... the question for MSU... will Mullen do the same for Simmons despite that their current recruiting class pretty much hinged on the Simmons signing?

I'm curious to see how the media brings this up with Mullen.

I love his pressers.
