Sorry, this isn't remotely true. Vandy and UT fans at my work are on all of the same levels and get paid the same except for the UT grad who owns the company. Difference is people that went to UT spent about 1/5th less than the people that went to Vandy to get their undergrad degree to get the same job.

You know that things are bad for Tennessee when they have to resort to making fun of Vandy tailgating in order to feel better about themselves.

Since this applies to your particular company, it must hold true for the entire corporate world. Seems legit.

You must have a lot of Vandy fans working on Saturdays, too.

More of a myth that Vandy people like to say out loud from time to time.

He's talking about the UT grads. Not the Vandy grads that grew up being UT fans.

So Vandy probably won't have much of a crowd for a Thursday game against Western Kentucky. Shocker!

Did you expect the stadium to be buzzing several hours before the game starts on a Thursday during the workweek when your team isn't very good?

I am talking about the UT and Vandy fans who graduated from their respective schools. So there.

Yeah, LSU is just as good a school as Tulane too.

Do the students still chant

"That's alright,
That's OK,
We're gonna read your resume!"

at Tennessee?

We did when I was there.

.....which was the Peyton Manning era.

/Columbia MO born and Mizzou fan for life before I got to Vandy
//went to Vandy for the edumacation not the sportz
///didn't know Mizzou and Vandy would be in the same league one day

Oh no, we just have a massive amount of apathy. I just had to fire back at the troll.

I'm agreeing with you.

A degree from UT is just as valuable as a degree from Vandy. Just like a degree from LSU is just as valuable as a degree from Tulane.

To be honest that gap is significantly closer than Tennessee and Vanderbilt, because Vanderbilt is a much, MUCH better school than Tulane. Tennessee would have a closer gap too standing next to Tulane.

I'm not saying Tulane is a bad school by any stretch, but their ranking continues to slip. It's still a very good degree

Trust me, I know this. However, you don't see LSU fans spouting off at the mouth about degrees, or anything related, when discussing Tulane. It's not an intelligent strategy.
