Yay, now my tax dollars get to pay for these assholes for the foreseeable future when the best answer for everybody here is for them both to be thrown off a cliff.

Kids don't know that rape is serious?

Most due, sure

What needs to be drilled in their heads is the importance of the term consent..there lays the problem

That and these kids need to learn to intervene if they see things happening around them that isn't right instead of being bystanders or enablers.

Just heard it on 104.5. Heard a couple of outbursts as the verdict was being read.

Did you follow any of the coverage? Vandenburg ought to be strung up by his nuts and left to hang for several days. Sick bastard directed the whole thing and then had the nerve to show up the next day telling her how she got sick and he had to take care of her.

Then he told her to come over to his place the next morning and according to her testimony he initiated intercourse which lasted "a few seconds"

Ouch

Good, that was a quick deliberation. Them mofos need to go to jail for a long, long time.

============================

If they were just good enough to get into FSU.

I wonder if it was grades that kept them out?

BrooksnDunn may have the answer......

Of course, the deeper lesson here is, if you have to get raped, better do it at Vandy rather than FSU. Nobody will protect your rapist asses here.

Well...no one other than the football team, that is.

I have my doubts about Franklin's innocence in the postmortem, personally, but if the story hasn't gained traction by now, I'm not sure anything that'll stick will ever come out.

I wouldn't implicate the football team in toto, though. Stupid criminal members don't reflect the team as a whole, any more than the thugs who beat and robbed a kid at Bama do. We're not quite an Urban "50% of my players have been in trouble with the law" Meyer program.

Such rage. That's exactly the sort of fan reaction that makes people afraid of the consequences of accusing star quarterbacks of rape.

Yeah, I'm sure it was tough for the convicted rapists.

Yeah I'd say it's a pretty horrible situation if you're going to jail for two decades. Don't get me wrong, They completely deserve it, but it's still horrible for them and their family, as well as the girl and her family.

Agree with this poster. Should send a chilling effect through the community that you can't rape (unless you went to FSU, right?)

Here's my question: why did they not have a female represent them? Let's have another man represent two other huge man (the white guy was 6'6') in a rape case with the defense of voluntary intoxication. Ok, dumb.

I definitely think these guys should go away (and will certainly have a felony on their record) but aren't there murderers who have gone away for less time than they'll likely receive?

I had sex with near unconscious girl in college before and I was drunk as well. And it was the first day we met. I'm glad she was cool about it in the next morning. She could have put me away in jail for 20 years if she wanted to which is a scary thought.

Yeah...we have all had those....and you are right, it could have got ugly.....but it seems like these guys went far beyond anything of that nature and it was an assault/rape with documented evidence.

Same bullshite with Winston just a little less aggravated, imo. And frick your school and the TPD for letting that bastard get away with it. And frick you for supporting a rapist.

Yeah, the one guy I saw was basically admitting it, but blaming the alcohol on the stand. Sorry dude...I've had enough alcohol to make my liver feel like an atom bomb was being dropped on it a few times and I never came close to thinking that what those guys did would be fine in a drunken moment. I think these guys just had character issues.

Agree 150%!!! I've been plastered beyond belief and the essence of who I am NEVER changed.. If you become violent when your drunk or assault someone then that's who you are inside. Being drunk is or blaming it on the alcohol is coward's way of trying excuse someone's behavior and it's sickening... Hope those a$$clowns meet the booty warrior in prison...
