What is y’all’s opinion on Corbin not really touching the portal, they don’t lose a lot of their guys to portal but don’t gain any. To me it’s similar to Dabo in Football. Will it be an adapt or die thing or do y’all think he will continue to have success for as long as he’s coach there.

It's really hard to get transfers into Vandy.

Corbin is a very average coach who wins on talent. Despite buying the #1 recruiting class 16 of the past 21 years he's only won two titles.

Oh yea, the other 5 recruiting classes averaged #3.

Why is it that Vandy is average to below average in every other sport except baseball? Because "Opportunity Vanderbilt" is an unfair advantage. The parent of a UF player told me recently that Corbin does not recruit. Opportunity Vanderbilt is such a HUGE advantage that Corbin needs only to offer a kid. Being fully funded makes the decision for the parents 90%of the time.

Now you know the rest of the story.

Not in the least. In fact, in fact coach Kevin O'Sullivan ranks number one and almost every category since he's been at Florida this being his 17th year. In 16 years he went to the CWS 8 times and won the NC. During last week's LSU series even Ben McDonald count it up all of the accomplishments.

What's worse, Opportunity Vanderbilt is supposed to serve the economically underprivileged 25% of the team comprised of diversity minorities. Being a private school Vandy does not have to disclose any of the requirements. Most of these players are not coming from economically disadvantaged families nor would they qualify for Vanderbilt as a general admission student.

Public universities will never allow their endowment to be used for athletic endeavors. NIL will level the playing field at which time Vanderbilt will be relegated to average at best just as they are in every other sport.

Corbin has more titles and is by far the leader in CWS wins by active SEC coaches.

Where did you get this number?

People keep saying this but it hasn’t happened.

I'm pretty sure Vanderbilt also has a significant restriction on the number of transfer credits they will accept. I believe that's why most of the transfers we have seen are grad transfers or freshmen.

I think Jack Anderson (Princeton) and R.J. Schreck (Duke) were grad transfers, and Jayden Davis (Samford) transferred in after his freshman year.

This is b*******.

Until Vanderbilt starts posting their actual numbers like every other SEC school, they never will as it would blow their cover.

A childhood friend's son signed with Vanderbilt. She told me straight up that her son would not have gotten in Florida as a regular student. For that matter probably would not have gotten in Florida State.

Vanderbilt better hope and pray they don't get left out when the super conferences are formed. Athletically Vanderbilt brings nothing to the table when it comes to the economics that are big college athletics.

You are correct though Corbin has two national titles in 21 complete years. This my friend is underachieving based on 16 number one recruiting classes and an average of just less than number three in the other five.

Anyway you slice it Vanderbilt has a massive advantage financially.

They will still be paying 100% of a baseball players tuition, room/board and spending money. Plus NIL.

The only thing that will level the playing field entirely is when every team can be fully funded, no different than football or basketball.

No sense in continuing here. We won't find common ground. I have however, accomplished my purpose by educating others of the sham that is Vanderbilt Baseball.

What numbers? What cover is that? You make it seem like OV was created for sports when the baseball roster makes up less than 0.5% of the student population.

Always with the anecdotes.

Vanderbilt was practicing with rocks and sticks before he got there.

This isn’t true. Show your work.

If you want to play the competitive advantage game look no further than the lack of academic standards UT has had for years.

Vandy at least makes sure their athletes are students too.

Really? A couple of stories, statements based on no data and what little data you did provide is wildly inaccurate.

The old adage, "if it's not broke, don't fix it" applies here.
