I've seen enough of their tape and practice to know that these guys are going to be great D1 players. You'll see so in time.

Tape got both of them 3 stars. How many practices do you attend? That got one of them a redshirt. I bet you were excited about David Williams tape and practice as well.

Great in 2016? Seems unrealistic.

I don't know why you're melting over this, just be wrong and carry on. All those guys I listed were WR's, all went onto the NFL, all were Fr All SEC, it is what it is.

Neither Ellington nor cooper were freshman all-sec wr's as you claimed. They were Odell beckham and Malcolm Mitchell in 2011 and treadwell and Marquez north in 2013.

I'm glad you've moved on from being wrong about Bama having more Fr All SEC WR's the past 10 years. You can get more tape on players from HUDL and Maxpreps. I've been to SC practices that were open to the public. Turner and Dowdle are special, y'all will see that later on. However, it doesn't fit your narrative now so carry on with the hate.

You have no leg to stand on here. Look up his career accomplishments as a DC, or what he did defensively at UF as a HC in charge of Defense there.

you're still DEAD wrong then. Bama didn't have any Fr All SEC Wr in '05 and SC still had more Fr All SEC WR's b/w '06 and '1

From 06-15, bama had 3, sc and Uga both had 2. I didn't even bother checking other teams.

They were BOTH on OFFICIAL Fr All SEC lists and BOTH played WR at SC. We used them in several roles as RS/WR/RB/QB but all were starting WR's.

Muschamp was never known for an offensive mind. He's one of the greatest college defensive mind's of all time though. B/c hardware, All SEC/All American players and NFL talent.

Yes, very much. Like Saban, Bielema and, well, our own Mason, his grounding is in defense, and he's very good at it (he didn't get a real chance to show that at Auburn, which wasn't his fault.) My point was that Vandy does have an established defense, a very good one, and until Champ gets the program up and running and Roper gets a chance to build his offense, Vandy's experience is (hopefully) going to give USC fits. And Champ hasn't had time to implement his D, considering he's following a coach that placed a priority on offense and recruited (mostly) to match.

Neither of those cocks made the official all sec teams as a WR because they didn't have good production catching a football.

Fact is, Sanders and alshon are the only 2 freshman wr's who made the all sec freshmen teams as wr's in these 10 years.

LSU and ut also had more than sc's 2.

Some do, some do not and were just really well hyped/camped/mentored. If you know what to look for on tape you can see it too. Things like; anticipation of running lanes, how he reacts when lanes/blocks fall apart/instincts, natural athletic ability, tenacity at contact, etc....

There are a lot of HS RB's that can run close to a 4.5-4.6 and run by most HS LB and Safeties and have a lot of yardage against 1A or 2A teams, but the ones that create something out of less opportune situations are special.

I'm sure you, Mr. Message Board Guy, can tell the difference.

The past 2 seasons have taught me to just go into any game thinking you're gonna lose, and it will help soften the blow.

This offseason hasn't changed that for me. Vandy by 7.

Stop jinxing us, you son-of-a-bitch. Typical Cock fan, resorting to dirty tricks. Just for this, I hope y'all lose.

Right now, I like Vandy's chances a lot. They've got a defense that can give South Carolina fits, especially early on and a very underrated RB. If they get any kind of QB play from Shurmur I think they win.

That said, Muschamp is the master of chaos. It just follows him -- every game with him is pure chaos. That could work to the Gamecocks advantage but right now I think they're roster needs a little bit more time. If they had a tuneup game before this one they'd be better shape, imo.

I predict it will look like all of SC's first games of the season. A bunch of special needs people having an orgy.

That being said, I am hoping for a good game and for SC to show some consistency and improvement on both offense and defense.

I have zero expectations and my body is ready for any outcome.
