Remember that time y'all lost to Southern Miss. How bout La Tech? How bout Louisiana - Monroe? You know, speaking of shitbucket

And Tennessee has lost to Florida 9 years in a row

I love watching East teams fight. It's adorable.

I understand. I hate Tennessee, but I know at some point they will be back. I don't know if BJ is the guy, but they'll find the right guy at some point. Good luck this season, except against UF

Does it not show how far Tennessee's program has fallen to be a 6 point favorite AT HOME against Utah State?? I mean Florida doesn't have much room to talk, but we're a 35 point favorite against Idaho. But man, a 6 point favorite at home against Utah State is mind-boggling for a once proud program.
Dude, Idaho is one of the worst teams in the country. USU has been a quality team over the past few years and has a heisman candidate. Sounds like you shouldn't try to talk about football.

Utah State is fricking Utah State. I don't care how you slice it. They suck.

They don't suck as bad as Georgia Southern, I promise you that

Thanks atlgator. And good luck to your reptiles except when we're playing. I'm actually hoping you beat Bama and think you've got a great shot playing them so early.
I'd love for that to happen and then for us (of course) to knock you off at Neyland. I miss the days when UT and UF played like the SECCG depended on it and often it did. I even miss the intensity. It's what made the game so damned fun even when we lost.

We have beaten you 9 years in a row. 9. We beat you by 14 last year. Keep enjoying your 'SEC East recruiting championships' and moral victories because you only got beat by 14 this week. Have fun being irrelevant once again

They beat our arse the entire game. We had a couple of athletes step up and score for us so we didn't lose. It was the most embarrased I have ever been leaving JHS after a game
Most embarrassed I have ever been after an LSU win... 2010 Tennessee.

You must have missed 21-0. That was one of the most embarrassing losses I've ever witnessed.

100% agreed. Last year was a shitfest, but some of the games in the 90s/early 00s were incredible. Good times growing up with the series

A lot of our people left and never even saw the come from behind, pull it out of our arse, win. I stayed. I had my head held low walking back to the car.
The reality of losing 40 players set it

Enjoy leading Utah State by 3 going into the 4th Q. Should be fun.

I know but hey it's only right that I wish that as is your response to it.
That said, depending on how our question marks start getting answered as well as whether or not UF has an offense - lord knows your talent alone should've never ever led to these past few years. BUT I think we've got a better shot than in many years (and no I don't mean the hype that surrounded the game when Bray was there - just didn't feel confident on that one at all). Neyland will be rocking this year when we host both you and Bama - it started with the UGA game and ever since that crowd is damn close to being what we were in the 90s and first part of the 00s when it comes to important conference games in the east/traditional rivals (UGA/USC and now UF and BAMA)). Before that game, I hadn't seen a crowd so wild in years and I think it may well be wilder this year.
I do think we'll eventually return to the awesomeness that made the UF-UT rivalry so great. I'd hoped Muschamp would be a part of it but now I think not. Jones is passionate enough though to when we really get to where we want to go I believe he'll do his part and I hope UF be it Muschamp or someone else does theirs. That 'hate' is still there though a bit dormant - just needs a re-spark and our coaches and teams doing a whole lot better each have a role to play to get things back to normal.
Despite the UF streak, so many games were really an anyone can win deal. Spurrier's tricks and our propensity to fall apart even when we had big leads plagued our teams. Even so, come game day anyone could win. To me, that's a lot different than the streaky nature of TSIO where the ups and downs tend to involve far more dominate teams and a lot less of the 'anyone can win' even if one has a streak.
Here's to no season ending injuries or major ones for all SEC teams. And a revival of one fantastic rivalry.
