Relocate the goalposts? I'd say winning in football involves the actual games on the field. Not hype machines generated by ESPN. LSU dominated your little media darling and Cleveland hasn't been exactly successful.

Many variables go into winning games on the field.
PR is certainly one of them.
Re: goalposts … I was referring to this thread (and countless others), in particular.
The topic is Round 1 winners and losers in the NFL Draft.
But per their MO, many LSU fans make every effort to turn all topics back to the most recent A&M-LSU games.

I think it was an Aggy who mentioned skull fricking LSU in this thread. I just asked kinda like LSU did to Manziel.

How many championships has PR won?

As a Dolphins fan I completely agree we're the biggest loser. Even if he becomes a Hall of Famer at RT, we still could've gotten him in the second round. No one valued him as high as we did. That whole BPA talk was bullshite.

They frickin suck and have no concept of value. New management, same as the old management.

I just wanted to point out, the first reply in this thread was an aggy making the whole thread about LSU.

Negative, ProjectPat did that with the first post.

I agree with you.
But he was responding to a silly post about working at a car dealership.
I didn't say PR wins championships.
I said many variables go into winning on the field--including PR.
At all levels of sport, positive PR attracts top athletes to schools/teams, encourages ticket sales (which pays for the team), and puts butts in seats--which creates the home-field advantage.
That was my only point.
Honestly, I'm not looking to argue.
Enjoy your weekend.

Yeah, well...

Well shite, that's actually pretty impressive.

Kevin Sumlin: Three of the first 22 picks (T Jake Matthews, WR Mike Evans, QB Johnny Manziel) were Aggies, and T Luke Joeckel went second overall in last year's draft. Want to play in the NFL, youngster? Go to College Station and play for Coach Sumlin.

Seems to me like ATm is the loser here.
Three of the first 22 picks and they weren't even that good. Especially with the best player in their history.

That doesn't make us losers.
It means we're in the toughest division in football; and in two years, we haven't yet been able to put together all of the pieces.
Sometimes the stars just aren't aligned, ya know?
And having good players last year isn't mutually exclusive to having good players in the future.

Trust me, apart from being broken-hearted that Manziel didn't end up on a Texas pro roster, we're all feeling pretty great about the state of the program today.

Actually that is debatable. John David Crow could be considered our best player.

When you are a program that has two Heismans, one it not automatically the "best."
