He didn't just quit. He made up a life threatening health condition and laid it on thick to justify it. Trashy af.

He probably had Shelley call 911 just to make it look legit, right?

Have we finally found something the entire SEC can agree on (other than our conference's awesomeness)?

I can;t remember the last time I got on the rant and was nodding my head in agreement with LSU and Bama fans.

He told The Times his daughter Nicki, 18, hugged him and said, "I get my daddy back."

Yes. I remember hearing a rumor at the time that Urban was also pretty "friendly" with a coed, and his wife found out about it. She wanted him out of there, and that was another part of his decision - to save his marriage. Is there any truth to that? Or was it just a rumor?

I remember hearing that as well. Seems like it would be hard to validate without having first hand knowledge, but I think we can all agree the quotes coming out of the Meyer camp after he got skullfricked in the 09 seccg are laughable in hindsight.

Hell, on top of that the prick sent Nicki to school at ga tech...

Another great UM moment...

quote:

Jan. 22nd, 2010...

Florida Gators coach, Urban Meyer, the man who retired, and then un-retired soon after, has pulled the ultimate recruiting strategy: a epiphany from the BIG GUY upstairs, seeing him returning to coach the Gators and, more importantly, five-star recruit Sharif Floyd.

If this seems impossible to believe allow me to quote this story from one of Floyd's High School coaches:

"Sharrif was really confused and put a call into Coach Meyer. When they spoke Coach Meyer told him that he had a ‘dream' the night before, and that Coach Meyer saw himself on the sideline coaching Sharrif. Told him that is was a 'message from God that I should come back and coach, as I guess if it's my time to die, I'd rather die on the sidelines coaching you than anywhere else in the world.'"

"Sharrif talked to us the next day and said Ohio State is great and all, but Coach Meyer said he would DIE for me. That's pretty intense. From that day on Sharrif mainly kept to himself. But that was the turning point in my eyes."

That was a rumor as far as I know. His wife is really cute so I'm not sure why he would need more unless his doctor recommended it for his heart.

Let me break it down for you since you keep missing the point. It's not the part where he changed his mind that makes him trash.

It's the part where he cloaked himself in a life threatening health condition that never existed in every media outlet that would print it. Bringing his family, religion, whatever else he could think of to garner sympathy and make himself look noble, knowing full well it was all horse shite.

That's why he's trash.

Gordon Gee just before he was run outta OHIO...

quote:

Well, you tell the SEC when they can learn to read and write then they can figure out what we’re doing. That's right, I've been down there. I've been down there." "I was the chairman of the Southeastern Conference for two years. I tell you something, it is ... It’s shameful. It really is. It's shameful..... Both the integrity, and — you talk to Coach Meyer, I mean, that's one of the reasons that he had to leave. I mean, he's a man of integrity, and he won two national championships, and in the meantime, people were just undermining him in every way, shape, or form. It's a ... it's shameful."..... "We know how to count. And we, and the thing about it is, we know how to count the money, which we have a lot more of than the SEC. And we'll continue to have that."

I mean branded in national media - not the Rant. That is why I say he has the goods on people. He just left a great program in the crapper, quit, lied about health and family time - then went on the road with espn waiting for a gig not in the crapper like he left his.

tOSU perfect. Like I said the slime ball will win - thats because its hard to lose there.

He pretty much quits when his star qb is either leaving or thinking of leaving.

It's like the kids who can only win with the raider type teams on techmo bowl.
