Jeff Long may TRY to renegotiate that Bert contract, but what's in it for Bert? I can hear that conversation now:

Long: "Brett, can we talk about your buyout? Folks aren't happy that the number is so big."

Brett: "So I'm supposed to make it a little less painful to fire me? LMAO! Why the hell would I do that? You screwed the pooch, Jeff. I'm not fixing it for ya and cutting off my nose to spite my face. Live with it. Either pull the trigger or GTFO and STFU!"

Long: "Okay, how about $10.5 million and a lifetime free all-you-can-eat buffet at Penguin Ed's?"

Bert: "Deal!" (mutters to self "HA! The joke's on YOU!!")

You are underestimating a lot of factors. Not saying Long is going to have much leverage but still. I don't think it matters anyway because talks like this won't happen until next year.

Sumlin and Odom seem most likely in my opinion. Odom must have a large buyout to be that low.

He doesn't.

He gone.

If LSU fired O then I would respect the hell out of that move. Admit you messed up and cut bait as soon as possible.

I know LSU is a great job, but I don't see how this is even possible. Forget scrounging up the money for two hefty buyouts in two years, just imagine the contract the next coach will want.

If they get anyone desirable you are talking about huge money and another huge buyout simply because no trust is going to trust the AD not to fire them if they lose a couple games they shouldn't.

Orgeron is there through next year at least.

Coaches hot seat rankings

Is it just me or does Todd Graham look like he is about to preach a sermon or do a self help seminar?

I've seen things happen to South Carolina in Neyland Stadium that just cannot be explained. We will not beat UT in Knoxville.

How quickly you forget that South Carolina has Butch's kryptonite

I will be beside myself if VOLS roll into Lexington riding a 3 game losing streak and Mark Stoops puts the nail in Botch's coffin
not possible, bro. You will be riding a FOUR game losing streak heading into Kentucky. You didnt beat Flololorida, remember?

Im referring to the four game SEC losing streak you'd be on in that scenario. But I think ya'll beat lessor carolina.

After the USCe game, I thought Odom would survive the season.

After the Purdue game, I've decided he'll be gone after the next embarrassing loss. Which will come at the hands of Auburn. They'll name Andy Hill as the interim HC and will begin the search.

Basketball when? Please? Now?
