We'd 100% be undefeated in my mind. We are more talented and more experienced than both Wisconsin and Auburn.

Did you watch either of those games? The offensive gameplan and overall team energy was historically bad and we still almost won both in the last minute.

Logically, one could assume since we have improved dramatically that we would win two games we lost in the final minute.

Hell, even Les would've beaten Wisconsin if Etling played.

Why isn't Auburn ahead of LSU then ?

LSU's obstacle Auburn has to play the consensus #1 Alabama
Auburn's obstacle Texas A&M has to play 2 loss LSU

Which road block is more likely to lose? Clearly Auburn

Improved dramatically by beating 6 loss Mizzou and 5 loss Ole Miss at home?

Considering how Auburn has improved, it is much more likely they convert some FGs to TDs and win by 20+

That will change after this week.

Stop deflecting and answer my question... Why is LSU ahead of Auburn?

It makes no sense to me. I can't explain it. I guess that Mizzou victory got a lot more respect than it deserves.

Well, one clear reason is that LSU gets Bama at home and Auburn has to play at Bama

Maybe the fact that LSU plays bama at home, at night, and Auburn plays in bama was a factor? Maybe the fact that Auburn also has to go to UGA was a factor?

ETA Like I said........let's look at the odds again next Tuesday and see what they look like.

Mizzou and Ole Miss are not very good teams, but neither are Jacksonville State and Mississippi state.

Under Miles:
Jax St.: 371 yards of total offense
Miss St: 392 yards of total offense

Under O:
Mizzou: 634 yards of total offense
Southern Miss: 459 yards of total offense
Ole Miss: 515 yards of total offense

I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

I guess you still dont understand.

As far as needing the other team to lose which is more likely, as far as an odds stand point.

A&M losing to LSU or Auburn Losing to Bama

As far as individual games vs Bama, who has the better odds to win currently? LSU or Auburn

Both of those odds favor LSU

Damn you Les.

Les didn't have the luxury of being judged by his performance against Missouri, Southern Miss, and 3-5 Ole Miss. He was fired for losing narrowly on the road to two teams that will be ranked #8 and #9 when the initial CFPO rankings come out tonight.

Does anyone actually think LSU's record would be any different right now had Les been able to stay on?

Not sure why LSU fans think there has been vast improvement with Coach O calling the plays... your opponents have just been exponentially easier since he was canned.

They don't beat OM with Les

LSU still has to play:

#1 Alabama (8-0)
@ Arkansas (5-3)
#10 Florida (6-1)
@ #7 Texas A&M (7-1)
Combined opponent record: 26-5

Auburn still has to play:
Vanderbilt (4-4)
@ Georgia (4-4)
Alabama A&M (3-5)
@ #1 Alabama (8-0)
Combined opponent record: 19-13

Any other theories?

Ok people are just trying to be stupid now, I get it. Auburn is the only team that can improve I guess.
If you don't see the difference in this LSU team now I can't help you or anyone else.
Miles would have another loss today, simple. What the odds makers are seeing is LSU is starting to play
to the level they expected at the start of the season, that's why LSU was preseason ranked in the top 5.
LSU has a very good Defense, and the offense is starting to look like they can move a football. Sure we played some bad teams, but LSU played like a very good team, doing what they were supposed to do. Les would have made all those games closer, and to be honest would have lost to Ole Miss in a close game.
All that means shite if LSU can't beat Bama, and I think we all know that will be a tough task.
