It's mccaffeys. Big stats against crappy defenses = profit.
Very good stats vs. top 10 D = zzzzz

This is just what 10 guys that work at ESPN think, there's over 900 Heisman voters.. I still think Henry wins it easily.

SI & CBS Sports have Watson winning it. Should be close.

You have to feel like the breaking of Barry Sanders record is going to seal the deal for McCaffrey.

Both are very deserving.

Can't argue with McCaffery winning it IMO. A case can be made for any of the top three.

in a conference known for defense, Henry has averaged 209 yard rushing in his last 6 SEC games. His overall season rushing record (in 71 fewer carries than Hershel Walker had when he set the record), and his TD record should be enough to do it.

McCaffrey is a very electric player and they use him a lot of ways. If he wins, then he's deserving. If Watson wins, then he's deserving. I also think Henry is deserving, but he may suffer from recency bias as it relates to the game McCaffrey just had against a below average D that fired their DC.

His return stats are pretty shitty for the amount of talk they're receiving. I mean, anyone you put back there is going to amass a decent amount of yards as long as they can catch the ball. Shouldn't you need at least 3 touchdowns for it to start being impressive?

Looking back at the year Ingram won, I don't know if that's true. The fact that Mayfield, Cook, and Reynolds didn't get enough votes to even earn invites tells me that the regional splits are going to work in Henry's favor.

Henry and Watson will also split votes in terms of voters that view the Heisman as a QB award. Throw in the Bama fatigue and the media sucking off McCaffrey and I think you have a really close race.

I did not watch many PAC games tbh. Way too late for me on East coast.

Between, Watson and Henry, I think Henry is more deserving.

People on the mid and west coast are going to put Henry 3rd in their ballot to prevent Henry from getting it. McCaffrey will get more 2nd place votes from other regions.

Can't say I would be mad if he got it. Hell of a player.

Switch players: If LF7 was in Henry's position right now, with the exact same stats, their narrative would be totally different and Tiger Rant would be livid if McCaffery won it.

McCaffrey is the flavor of the week for click bait. Deservedly. Henry is still a big favorite, and Vegas doesn't like to give away money.

McCaffery is a stud and his record beating year is something to be proud of. Watching film on him though, I don't think he passes the eye test over Henry.

However, I won't be mad if he beats Henry. He has a good story and at least we'll have an RB as Heisman. He or Henry will be the first since Ingram.

Why take out return yds to me that is what puts him at the top.

He had 1048 return yards on 36 returns including a 98 yarder for a TD and he had about a 28 yard average. Take away the td and he had a 27 yard average or about 2 yards more per play than if he had taken a touch back, which is likely nowadays in most cases. Also, his D sucked balls and gave up more than 30 points many times so he was probably returning 4 kicks a game. Also, the defenses he played against averaged about 80th or so in the country. The one really good D he played, they lost and he was non existant; 80 yards total and no td's. Outside of everyone wetting their pants over an athletic white kid, I don't think he deserves it over Henry or Watson.
