A meaningless student govt resolution is meaningless.

They ducked us awhile back too. We went into Austin and beat them as one of the top ranked teams in the country and they frickin wormed out of the return game.

Oh shite, not this crap again.

Arkansas cancels '09 game with Texas
quote:

AUSTIN, Texas -- Arkansas is bumping Texas from its 2009 schedule so that the Razorbacks can play Texas A&M in the start of a new series with the Aggies.

The Longhorns and Razorbacks, set to meet Sept. 13 in Austin, announced Friday that their postponed game in Fayetteville might not be rescheduled until 2013 or later.

Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long said that adding Texas A&M to its 2009 schedule gave the Razorbacks 13 games, forcing the school to remove one from its nonconference schedule.

"While it is unfortunate that we will have to postpone the return game in the Texas series, we felt that it was important to seize the window of opportunity to secure a long-term series with Texas A&M," Long said.

Texas holds a 55-21 advantage in matchups with the Razorbacks. The first meeting was in 1894.

I wonder how many folks on this board will call-out UTex as sniveling cowards for conducting a feckless vote, rather than a consequential one that would initiate concrete, actionable steps towards the resumption of the series?

Answer: Zero.

The University of Texas administration and the UT Austin student government are not the same thing. HTH.

The student govt comes up with some wacky resolutions.

So was Prairie View A&M for coloreds.

Neither institution is the University of Texas. Never was, never intended to be and never will.

AWE MR PERVERT,

Don't even say a word! TAM's first objective when accepted in the SEC was to demand Thanksgiving day games with LSU to start a rivalry. LAMO

TAM is not LSU's rival, that would be BAMA.

Call Arkansas, they are begging for a Rival.

Oh, I'm well aware of that.
But in the eyes of the dorks on this board, they're one and the same.
You just admitted that your student body doesn't speak for the university, yet we're/Aggies somehow the shmucks in this scenario for not wanting the game.
It's all very entertaining.

LOL,

When has TAM played BAMA in conference as a top ten team, When has TAM been in contingency for the SEC on consistent bases

You were told that if you left the conference (and the schedule) that the series would not be rescheduled.

You left and got pissy when that very thing happened.

You had two aggy state legislators try to force the series resumption by law, but it failed.

Why hang on to a meaningless student govt vote but disavow two attempts by aggy to force the series by state law?

Nor do I .
I was referring to the selective optics used by the chuckleheads on this board.
To them, UTex student government = entire horn populace, when the reality of the matter is that most of the sips don't want this game either.
