worth repeating since this was the Vaqueros first win over the longhorns in baseball since 1968!

UT-Arlington comes to Austin in one week.
Another chance for another UT System school to win at Dish Rag field.

Sounds like a lack of quality pitching depth. Midweek games will expose that.

Contract or no, I don't see how Pearce survives this season. Beatdowns in basball from "lesser" teams happen all the time, but Texas has been enduring some absolutely brutal assaults. Unreal.

I hear there are longhorns comparing that loss to Strong’s loss to Kansas.

Interesting

That’s funny, didn’t their current coach get his arse kicked by Kansas in football just two years ago?

Yup. Or Shaka’s loss to Abilene Christian. Dont see how Pierce survives this season

Thankfully our school won’t owe him $77 million to frick off

They have also lost a weekend series to Washington (in Austin)
They are 5-10 and in last place in the PAC. (12 / 12)

They have also lost a weekend series to BYU (in Austin)
They are 6-12 and in last last place in the Big 12. (13 / 14)

Not good.. not good at all..

Pierce needs to be gone this year. It's a complete waste of time to let him linger around for another year.

Even after all of those losses you’re still 9-6 in the Big 12. Has the Big 12 really fallen off in baseball?

There are just a bunch of mediocre teams this year, including Texas.

2-1 vs Kansas State (6-6 in other conference games)
2-1 vs Tech (8-7)
2-1 vs Baylor (7-5)
2-1 vs Houston (4-11)
1-2 vs BYU (3-9)

Big 12 Games Remaining..

TCU (7-11)
Oklahoma (11-4)
Ok State (10-5)
UCF (8-10)
Kansas (7-8)

Texas pitching has been complete garbage.. and that's the difference this year. I blame that on our pitching coach.. David Pierce. He fired the actual pitching coach last year, and decided to do it himself.. so this is 100% on him.

We aren't going anywhere this year.. I hope we lose out to force CDC's hand.

I haven't even heard of the latest team to beat Texas until last night. Is this school part of their system?

Yes.
The team's current identity was established after the University of Texas at Brownsville and the University of Texas–Pan American (UTPA) were merged in 2015.

UTRGV is growing like crazy though. I believe they are starting a football team this season in the WAC?
