Auburn’s grounds crew has called a temporary truce to the Iron Bowl turf war for this weekend’s home baseball series against Bama.

A half red, half blue “A” with the word “United” under it was recently painted behind Plainsman Park’s home plate by as a show of statewide solidarity in the wake of the tornadoes that tore through Alabama on April 27.

I've been wondering this for the past couple weeks, why is orange and blue portion of that logo curved at the top? I would think they would make it 50% red and white, 50% orange and blue, and I can't figure out why there is that extra sliver of red and white.
