I can't even imagine the amount of pressure the next coach at UGA will be under...if he doesn't win pretty much immediately, the comparisons to Richt will be poppin' up all over social and sports media...there won't be much of a honeymoon period...

Whereas at Mizzou and SCe, I think a coach can come in and have a chance to build his program before expectations get too large. Don't get me wrong, I think UGA is the best job of those available in the SEC right now, but it's gonna come with, by far, the highest expectations and the most pressure...

Well, according to all the cocky Florida fans coming out of the woodwork recently, damn near every team will have a abysmal record against the Gators.

Thats supposed to be hush hush...we already know we are going kick names and take arse. The east...for those younger folks on this board, will be restored to its rightful order and UF will dominate and UT will nip at our heels. It has so been said.

I would hope so...but the new guy is replacing a beloved and entrenched coach that averaged almost 10 wins a year...when Richt came along, he was replacing a guy that had only been there something like 5 years, had dropped 3 straight to Georgia Tech, and hadn't won (or played in) an SECCG so there wasn't as a lot of pressure...also, I think in this day and age, there's much more pressure to win than there was back then...winning 8 or 9 games and goin' to a bowl game used to be a good season...nowadays, if you're not competing for championships every couple of years or so, especially at a top tier school, you're on the hot seat pretty darn quick...

Same type of thing will happen whenever Saban retires or leaves at Alabama...that next coach will be under even more pressure than the guy replacing Richt...
