Your focus on quarterbacks vs. running backs with change very quickly in this league.

No not at all.

The sidewalk fan portion of the fan base may be. But I only have experience with the actual students.

Our RB, Henry josey, was leading the league in ypc by a large margin before he tore his acl/mcl. Try again sandman.

Not what I was getting at. While Trotter wasn't the most serviceable quarterback, a skilled running back's gonna be much more important in this league.

So, try bringing up Dyer, or Tate, Kenny Irons, Cadillac & Ronnie, Rudi Johnson, Joe Cribbs, Bo Jackson, James Brooks, ect.

I was just focusing on last year. There is no arguing y'all have had a hell of a stable of running backs come through your program

Not just the Big 12, he was leading the country, and he didn't even get the number one spot on the depth chart until about our third game. Losing him hurt us pretty badly last year, and he won't be back yet this year.

They are nearly as upity about academics as the Dook contingent.

Nothing says "upity about academics" like 50+ classes consisting of No-Show professors, grade changes, and plagiarism.

An internal investigation into UNC-Chapel Hill’s Department of African and Afro-American Studies has found evidence of academic fraud involving more than 50 classes that range from no-show professors to unauthorized grade changes for students. One of the no-show classes is the Swahili course taken by former football player Michael McAdoo that prompted NCAA findings of impermissible tutoring, and drew more controversy when the final paper he submitted was found to have been heavily plagiarized.

Here's the thing about going to 16 schools - it just doesn't much sense unless the NCAA lets conferences with 16 schools do 4 team pods with two rounds of playoffs to determine the SEC Champion. If you can't do this then you have two 8 team divisions which are more like two different conferences than divisions of the same conference.

If you are allowed to go to four team divisions, seed the division champs and do a two week playoff then that could be very profitable though

Hop was wrong quite a few times during realignment, but obviously it's a no-brainer that UNC is the prize.

Late to the party but I don't give a shite. Anyway, you do realize a porterhouse is comprised of a top loin (New York Strip) on one side right?

4 team pods with two rounds of playoffs

You could do it without this - just organize two pods each into a "division" and declare a winner of each division. This gets around having to petition NCAA for a new rule, but also introduces problems with tiebreakers etc. But I think the big advantage of 4 pods is to ensure that each team is actually playing every other team in the other "division" more often (thereby satisfying teams that want to have a presence in certain geographical areas etc.)

Yeah, two 8 team divisions in a 16 team conference just doesn't sound fun. Until there's perhaps an 8 team playoff and the division winners are guaranteed a spot (assuming four 16 team conferences).
