Yeah, the Egg Bowl Hugh's first year. That was just as warranted. We were coming off 2-10 season, our team had about 35 guys(only 61/85 scholly players) that could even somewhat play in the SEC, and our record was 6-5 going up against an 8-3 MSU team that only had losses to @Bama(#1), TexA&M(#16 IIRC), and @LSU(#8 or #9).
It was a huge accomplishment. Nobody in their right mind thought we would make a bowl game that year.
