Briscoe announcement

Marcus Lee withdrawing, but transferring from UK

Hate to see Lee go, but I suppose he feels that he won't be able to break through that rotation next season. Glad to have Briscoe back.

I would think talking to Jeff Goodman did Lee in. Rule with Cal and the program, the press goes through them...not directly with the player. Hate to see Lee go, but it was obvious he wanted to go.

Well I think it was that and knowing he would be facing a roster that was deeper in the post with Bam Adebayo, Tai Wynyard, and Isaac Humphries who are all physically more traditional big men. He was inconsistent enough over the last few years that if any of those three really start to come into their own, he likely loses his starting spot.

He knows Kentucky won't be able to win another ring with Cal at the helm. Can't blame the kid.

Lulz, thinking Lee would sit behind Wynard and Humpheris. Lee was our leading rebounder and shot blocker last season.

I will be willing to bet, Wynard will not sniff the floor next season even with Lee gone.

You can LULZ all you want, both of those guys are more prototypical big men and without Ulis running the point they have just as much a chance to break into the rotation with a big off-season.

Like it was for Simmons making any tournament with Johnny as his coach?

Go away troll, no one cares about your shitty flame attempt.

Belle, I like you and you takes. But Wynard will never contribute to the team next year. Word is, he is way behind in skills and talent then what we have on the roster.

On to football transfers, what do you Kentucky fans know of T.V. Williams? I noticed he transferred to us and doesn't look like he played much while at Kentucky.

Good kid. Saw that his minutes were not coming with our current WR core. He will do great at Texas State.

With more talented WR's on the roster, he didn't play much. Seems like a good kid though.

That's good to hear. Hopefully he can contribute in a couple of years (looks like he'll sit 1 year and have 2 with eligibility). With Fran at the helm our team is already depleted in talent. Liking what Withers brings so far.

Marcus Lee is garbage. Kentucky fans should be ecstatic that he's leaving.

Garbage? Hardly. Inconsistent? Yes. And unfortunately struggled with his size against bigger players in the post.

LSU fans would've loved to have had him to accompany Simmons though.

Marcus' decision is a head scratcher but it's his life and whatever works for him is his business. Beat of luck kid.

I was listening to KSR's Matt Jones this morning and he guessed, before Lee announced, that Lee would transfer out West to a little school so that he wouldn't have to sit out a year. There he can have a Big Bang year and try again in the NBA camps next Spring. I wish him the best of luck.
