Me too. Gran seems to get it. CJ Conrad has the tools to be a beast. Dawson really screwed up not using him more last year. Barker remains a big question mark for me though. Shortening his steps when he drops back should help tremendously. Towles took way to long to make a decision last year in countless situations.

I'll add Boom seems to be saying all the right things too. He has the talent to be a damn good RB. As always, how will the OL hold up for us this year? That's the million dollar question.

I think Shannon was way too lax as an offensive coordinator. He acts like a sarcastic cordinator. At least Neal Brown acted like he gave a damn.

Brown did give a damn. He got cutesy at times, but he was creative. Dawson was so predictable and obviously didn't jive with what Stoops wanted. Stoops is old school and wants to grind it out and he has to accept that we don't have the horses to do that at Kentucky. I like Gran's run first mentality, and wish we could just dominate at the line like Alabama which is what Stoops wants but he's going to have to step up the recruiting game even further than he had already.

We're building this roster with solid role players much like Mullen had at State. We've beaten Carolina two in a row, came close with Florida a few times, beat Missouri. Gotta do more than that though to take another step up the ladder. So many games the last two seasons where one play was the difference between a W and an L. These outside idiots don't remember any of that they just see the 5-7 records. The progress is real and I expect it to continue.

5-7 means you suck. It doesn't take much to win two conference games and pick up four cupcake wins to get to 6-6.
