It's the well spoken melts you gotta worry about. Those are the ones that absolutely get you shite canned. Nobody cares about that booster that rants his arse off over the color tie you wore to press conference.

Mora may have been the only coach on more of a hotseat than Sumlin. Hopefully Mora sends him an edible arrangement or something as a thank you.

The list should start with Mike McEntyre of Colorado.

Just hide your women before he recruits women abusers and then tries to cover it up when they do what they do. You don't want to become Baylor.

Texags.com is down. I used to think Sumlin would make it through the terrible season, but now I'm unsure. The absolute WORST result he could have had

500 freaking passing yards, and goes from dominating win at halftime to helpless bitch in less than a quarter

Up and down game lead going back and fourth you tell yourself we traveled and they clipped us

You never get credit for building 34 point lead you built when you blow it

The decision to authorize any payments over a certain amount has to come from the Board of Regents. Sumlin being fired now would result in a payment of over $11.5 million within 60 days.

That's enough money to make Sumlin want to be fired.

Anthony Buzbee, regent appointed by Rick Perry, put out this statement via Facebook (per TexAgs):

quote:

"I'm sure I may be criticized for this post but I honestly don't care. I've not once commented on Kevin Sumlin and his performance during his tenure at our school. I never said a word when he and his agent manipulated a bigger and longer contract. I said nothing about his arrogance and his mishandling of multiple player controversies. I said nothing when we had awesome recruiting classes, only to see them leave our school or underperform. But tonight I am very disappointed. And I'm speaking out. Kevin Sumlin was out coached tonight, which isn't new. Our players were better. Our players were more talented. But our coaches were dominated. I'm only one vote on the Board of Regents but when the time comes my vote will be that Kevin Sumlin needs to GO. We owe it to our school and our players. We can do better."

If he felt strongly about these things at that time, then it shows how fricked up he is as a Regent by not speaking up. Sounds like the guy lost a lot of money on the game.

He deftly waited until AFTER Governor Abbott appointed the regents. Had he spoken up earlier, either Perry or Abbott would have had him removed.

It is crazy that a Regent would weigh in on football.

I don't know if it's a great move, but. Its a power move.

Maybe where you're from. That's a whiny lil bitch move and very unprofessional. He should know better. Over a game.

Aggie is a clown show at every level. Continue to embarrass yourselves and the conference.

It's a major financial decision that requires their input.

What happened tonight also removes any concern about him being fired for racial reasons. 2nd largest blown lead in NCAA history speaks for itself.

Ever not wanted to be the a-hole that takes the first plate of food and waited for someone else to do it first so no one glares at you at an event?

Same concept. It was his way of calling out the other regents and taking any pressure off of them if they wanted to speak out or put out feelers.

It also now puts public pressure on the donors and decision makers to decide what they're going to do and if this is acceptable.

Not really. Football is a yuuuuugeeee financial boon for the university.

Sumlin is a threat to potentially MILLIONS of dollars each year.
