Oh hell no... If we jump Bama, imagine all the UF hatred threads to appear, the media backlash, and probably the shutdown of SEC rant and all other sec team sites lol but nothing to worry about since it will never happen.

I can agree with this. Very sad that the BCS is becoming like the rest of the country, they want "fairness" over "best". Sucks

I just don't understand why they don't take the top ten and play 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10

I'm glad we've got the Champions Sugar bowl to look forward to, bc I'm tired of the Sugar bowl getting shat on.

The national media will blame our "weak" schedules but never want to put one of their best against one of our best evade they know they would get pummeled. Sad stuff.

The Sugar always seems to be shafted with the SEC runner up v. whatever no name team the BCS requires. SEC dominance has not been good for the Sugar Bowl at all.

If they do get in, they will be in the Orange. The Orange picks last. No way the Sugar picks N. Illinois over Louisville. And Oklahoma gets left out in the cold.

Yeah, Fiesta picks first and will pick Oregon. Sugar is second. Orange will be the ones screwed.

The Champions Bowl this year would be Georgia-Kansas State. Pretty good matchup.

This year it's just the luck of the draw. If we were operating with the Jan. 2011 selection order, the matchup would be Florida-Oregon.

That's what I though at first, but if you go back and look, the voters already have N. Ill. there. The wildcard is Michigan. They are the team that N. Ill. has to pass, and they are already well ahead of Michigan in the polls...17th and 15th to 23rd and 24th. Palm's projection is based on where the computers will have them, so I believe it's accurate. NIU will be 16 and Michigan 17.

I agree with that. I don't keep up with how they choose the matchups but it sure does seem like the Sugar Bowl gets shafted a lot for some reason.

I almost agree with you. Instead, why not make all regular seaoson / conference championship games end on Thanksgiving weekend. Then have the top 8 play 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5 on the 1st weekend of December at the higher seeded teams' home fields, with quarter-finals between the 4 winners on January 1 in the four major bowl games, followed by semi-finals on January 15 and then the real national championship on the Saturday before the Super Bowl.

And if all of 1-8 are SEC teams, so be it.
