Maybe, but a good DL is way, way more capable of carrying average LBs than vice versa.

I still expect good LB play, fwiw. Natrez Patrick will be a star.

I think we'll have solid to above average play from our LBs.

Natrez Patrick
Roquan Smith
Zo Carter
Davin Bellamy

All four have flashed greatness. Now they just need to start and prove it.

DL and LBs going to have to do work, as Hood is an elite RB, at QB they'll have a very competent pocket passer (little different than last year which will mean adjustment), but they have the second most "veteran" offensive line in CFB this year. LINK
Interestingly, UGA comes in at 13 which is good for 1st in the conference. Looking forward to seeing what Pittman can do with them.

As far as thoughts on the game, feel like we probably win by high single digits... 7-9 point win but probably feels closer (ie. UNC threatening to tie or get it within 1 score and onside kick late). Maybe 31-23ish? I'd expect we're able to run the ball with authority (with or without Chubb) but that UNC gives us a healthy dose of Hood as well, keeping the score from ballooning too much.

My opinion on this game is subject to change throughout the rest of the offseason.
For those referencing the loss to USCe as a reason why it shouldn't even be close, keep in mind they turned the ball over in the redzone something like 3 times? As bad as USCe was last season, I'm pretty sure most teams in the SEC would have had a battle on their hands if you made that many mistakes in the redzone.

Hard to say with Chaney as OC... if it's close in the fourth y'all will lose

never seen a group so perpetually perturbed over losing an OL coach.

Again, it has nothing to do with Pittman. Chaney is just a shitty OC. I felt the same way when he went to Pitt and Pittman was still on the staff.
