Doesn't make a QB better than another. Stafford might have the strongest arm in the NFL but I'd rather have Peyton.

In this case it does, which is why Mettenberger was going to start over Murray at JORGUH

Murray also can't do shite against a real defense like LSU's. We absolutely embarrassed that clown in the SEC championship.

Actual Keys to the game for LSU:

Offense-
You know about Langley the true freshman corner... you know he has struggled on national TV, but he isn't actually that bad, just young. Realize he's starting in front of 2 older guys because he beat them out in spring and summer practice (he was an early enrollee).

The other true freshman in the secondary is Trey Matthews. He is good, starting above other more senior guys, was also an early enrollee, but again, is young and prone to youthful indiscretion.

Mett should pick on both of them, pump fake them, run fake them, head fake them. Capitalize on their inevitable rookie mistakes.

You can have good success running the ball to the weak side because UGA's OLB/WDE Jordan Jenkins is a pass rusher only, the coaching staff has openly criticized his run tackling/contain ability in the off season. Take it straight to him.

Combine that with fake runs to his side to make Langley and Matthews take a second look back, while your receivers put their heads down and sprint their way into open field.

Defense-

When Gurley is in the backfield, it's almost always a run play, more than 50% of the time. It's ok if your linebackers bite on fake, as long as you stop them at the line of scrimmage when it's an actual run play. Commit to stopping the run, even if that means Murray gets more completions.

When Bobo's run plays aren't effective, he goes into stupid mode and starts running and running and running and running .. repeating the same behavior expecting different results. In essence, commit to stopping the run and you won't have to worry about Murray.

The two weak links on UGA's OL are left tackle Kenarious Gates and Center David Andrews. Both have played well, but not consistently. They've both given up sacks and TFL. Concentrate your pass rush at those spots. Middle blitz (which can also help with run contain, UGA loves the A-gap run with Gurley) and weak side blitz against the LT.

Your secondary just needs to play disciplined, it's ok to give up some receptions, Murray is going to complete some passes, but for the love of God, don't let those receivers start adding on the yards after reception. They are all dangerous in open field with track speed. If the ball can't be intercepted, just make that mental determination to just make damn sure you tackle him.

Special Teams-

UGA's kicker isn't great. Watch for the 4th and go. Richt likes the onside kick as you know. Richt also doesn't put his best returners on the return team, because they are also our best skill players and he doesn't want them to get hurt. He's on record as being one of the coaches that wants to eliminate kickoffs from the game. Gameplan as if UGA will have crappy field position for most of the game.

Final note on special teams, UGA loves to block punts and they'll rush 10 to do it. When punting, make sure you are focused on punting, not coverage or tackling. Focus on that after the ball is gone... as previously stated, it's not like Richt has an all-american kick returner back there. This can also be utilized on the fake, knowing UGA wants to block it will open up the opportunity for an open TE at the first down marker.

LSU always beats UGA. Their defense sucks. Their oline sucks. They can't hang with an SEC West powerhouse. Georgia's a joke

Well, why dont you just givem all our weaknesses. Now, someone is gonna take this to Les Miles office and we're as good as done. They have the game plan right here on the rant.

Keys for UGA-

Offense:
Pocket time for murray, pass to open up the run. They'll be dedicated to stopping the run, so let them. Murray putting up big numbers early could get into Mett's head. Fullback Quayvon Hicks can help, as well as being a running (and receiving) threat, and not just a blocker.

Continue to do what you did against SC by using all weapons at running back.... Marshall, Hicks, Douglas. So far, neither tight end has had a breakout game, this may be the game to let Lynch (2012 All SEC TE) lead the team in receiving yards.

I haven't watched any LSU games this year because they haven't been on TV, so I haven't identified any particular weakness on their defense to take advantage of. But with our weapons at every position, we ought to be able to take advantage of any weakness that exists. Because LSU hasn't really been tested against quality opponents so early in the season, we might not even identify weaknesses until half way through the game. Bobo needs to be in the booth, not on the sideline.

Defense-

The 3-4 will allow us to disguise the blitzes, obviously, but also the old seldom used formation where you have 3 DLinemen crash on the center that basically shuts down any pulled guard/center type of run play, but leaves you very vulnerable on outside plays, which is why you need to disguise it and use it frugally. With Smith, Bailey, and a linebacker, let's say Wilson, all crashing on Center, it won't take long before Miles starts calling the plays to the edge where your real playmakers (Jenkins, Floyd, or S Bailey depending on formation) can shine as they usually do, and also opens up opportunities for nickel Josh Harvey Clemons to get in on the action.

Keep Swann on Beckham, even though that's still a mismatch, he's the best and most experience corner we've got. If we are playing zone, then the safeties really need to trespass a little bit to keep Beckham from getting hit in the seam. Mett isn't experienced enough to dissect the more complex zone coverages, but I don't think our young secondary is experienced enough to pull them off either.

LSU's left tackle, can't think of his name off the top of my head, is highly touted and experienced. We can't count on making big plays against his side... we can try, but not count on it. Best play to rush the weak side against him is to have Jordan Jenkins run him far enough out into the backfield for Mett to feel compelled to step into that empty space, which will give a direct line of attack for middle linebacker or Smith locked up on center to make a 90 degree turn and sack him.

Special Teams-

Struggles in kicking game last year, but when you can get 3 points, take them. I don't like 3 points vs LSU, historically that's been bad for UGA. The most recent one I remember was when UGA missed 3 field goals against LSU and lost by 3 points. That shite can't happen. I change my mind. Don't accept 3 points. Go for it.

Mettenberger will shred Georgia's secondary. Murray has been struggling and he has a shittier oline.

LSU wins like always

LSU will get their points, but I'd like to point out that 2 drops were the difference between Georgia scoring 10 versus 21 points against Les Miles' greatest defense ever. 2011 LSU defense >>> 2013 at this point. 2013 Georgia offense > 2011 Georgia offense. Who knows what will happen?

Not possible. You need to get pressure on Murray.

I agree with this to an extent. Gurley is going to get his, period. He's a freakazoid and the best pure player in the nation (not factoring in value of position).

What you have to do is pressure Murray. If you get in his face and get bodies around his feet he's just an average QB. See what Clemson did.

This will be the key to the game. LSU's offense will be fine against UGA's D. They suck.
