Please for the love of all that is good and holy make this happen. Would LOVE to drive a couple hours down to Austin for a game. Can't put in to words how awesome that would be.

I went to South Bend the last time UT played there. I hate ND but that is a MUST trip for any college football fan, very cool experience.

Impressive. I figured you would just stick with Tech and 3 cupcake home games.

Since that's what we've always done in the past, right?

Did you miss the home and home with Clemson and Oklahoma State recently or is your head buried in the sand.

He is still drunk from his trip up to Rutgers.

I'm assuming he was talking about after the announcement of the playoff v BCS. Hopefully, at least.

I never intimated that your weren't complimentary of UGA; but to assume "Bama, Auburn , and LSU would definitely beat ND" is quite short sided. Regardless of what you think Notre Dame's most attractive match up is.
I never said that. I do think based on recent history, Alabama crushing ND is a fair bet. I realize all of this is speculation.
And I'm not saying LSU and Auburn have a better shot. I'm saying that when you consider that LSU, Auburn and UGA will likely prove tough matchups for ND regardless of when they play, taking the one with the biggest "brand" is a smart move. GA is the biggest and most prominent state, Athens is the best town, UGA is probably the next UT in terms of major state U brands.

Don't follow UGA schedules. Arkansas has
texas tech 14-15
TCU 16-17
Michigan 18-19
Texas 20 home only
on deck. I'll assume 3 cupcakes each year unless BB eats them
and goes for another h/a. I'd like to see a Arkansas-Wisconsin series.

This is how I imagine all ND fans look like.
Not far off. Their fans suck. A bunch of pasty northerners who have no personality and no hot women.
Good Pick up for UGA.

I cannot say that I disagree with any of that. Good response.

Oh sure, now that I'm fluffing UGA you're on board...

The AD consistently scheduled more serious OOC foes in addition to Tech throughout Richt's career. Off the top of my head:
Clemson '02/'03 - Sweep
Boise St. '05/'11 - Split
Colorado '06/'10 - Split
Oklahoma St. '07/'09 - Split
Arizona St. '08/'09 - Sweep
Clemson '13/'14 - Probably split
Tech - 12-1

Add to that we really have not locked down Georgia recruiting as well as we would like....and LSU has Louisiana locked down tight. It DOES make sense that they pick us. Any of the four (LSU, Auburn, Alabama or Georgia) would be great to watch, though. And yes, in light f Alabama's recent success, it is safe to assume Notre Dame wants no part of them.

No one minds when they are being fluffed. Don't let anyone tell you different.
