I miss Spurrier and his weekly quotes.

Maybe he can just replace Nuss and being OC for the remainder of the season. I think he would enjoy it and we could still get quotes from him.

I always thought Richt missed a good opportunity to return fire. "I guess they could use the help" or something like that, depending on when Spurrier said it. I don't remember exactly.

A godly man turns the other cheek. That or Richt just lost control of the situation.

Week leading up to the game should be interesting with Boom and Kirby being former teammates and such good friends at UGA.

I'm fine if the trash talk is minimal and the actual game is epic between these two.

I know the UGA series (65) is our second most played series behind Clemson (115).

Where, in terms of games played, does this series fall on UGA's most played list?

This sucks unless it is a night game.

Seems like they might be setting this up to be a night game ... just makes sense.

Will it be an ESPN or SEC Network broadcast, that is the question.

Not a huge fan, at least not from a UGA perspective. That suspension quote, while obviously meant as snark, is not entirely inaccurate. Definitely don't want to do any favors to USC by playing anything other than at full strength, and our drug policy doesn't seem to have any changes on the immediate horizon. As a fan of college football, our games have been more interesting when they're earlier, but my preference is for that game to be as uninteresting as possible and get the W.

I think that game is dangerous in 2018 in a year where we have the majority of our supposed "big games" at home in the conference - though we do draw LSU on the road.

I looked that up not long ago.

Georgia has played Tech, Auburn, Florida, and Vanderbilt more than us. We are fifth on the list.

Surprisingly we have played them more than Tennessee has.

Good. I always liked that game being played early in the season

Thanks Sunbeam ... that's interesting - UGA has some of the longer played series in their history. I knew about Auburn, Ga Tech and UF. That surprises me about Vandy.

It might end up being primetime on a major network since both us and Georgia are supposed to have pretty damn good teams next year...especially if the East does come down to us and Georgia this year. Might be the ESPN Game Day pick for that Saturday.

*starts thinking about sign ideas now just in case*

Week 2 could feature Florida-Tennessee next year since week 3 we're playing Colorado state. So if that's the case we will be 3:30 and you guys would likely be prime time or noon.

I see the East starting to return to a strong division next year...and we'll be in the thick of it.

Some naysayers 'bout to be bitch slapped into shutting the hell up.

Can you just black widow some of the Clemson fans for us? I think you have the pull.

It's one of those that I think most UGA fans almost discount a bit as well, simply due to results in modern history. Vandy has like 20 wins compared to our 50+ but of theirs I think half came prior to WWII. But we've played them nearly every year with a few exceptions since like 1952 or 1954. The Carolina series really started becoming regular later in the 50's and we still had more gaps. I still enjoy the Carolina games when we're at home at least. I find when going to Columbia either a) USC fans are douches in the comfort of their home stadium or b) and probably more likely... I've just encountered specific douchey fans in Columbia more often than other places. The ones that travel to UGA have always been pretty cool, at least that I've interacted with. Gotta have some appreciation for a fanbase that is as loyal and supportive of a program that hasn't had as many "up" years. USC had nice run there with Spurrier but I think Boom has you guys on track for better years ahead (regardless of all the shite that was directed your way after the hire... even by me.)

I gotta admit, I expected it to be. I can't believe it took a Georgia fan to say it!

Always a good game, though. It does feel more normal to have USC early.

This times 100. I don't necessarily enjoy a bunch of trash talk....but I love hard fought games!

So Scjr is 6 the on the list.
